Jackie Li has finally spoken up about the storm of criticism surrounding her role in Six Sisters while appearing on Sisters Who Make Waves.
She admitted that playing He Jiaxi, the youngest and least liked sibling in the drama, sparked heated debates online, even dragging up old controversies from her past.
Her character was seen as irritating by many viewers, leading them to vent their frustrations directly at her.
Some even slammed her performance, calling it over-the-top.
In a candid interview, Jackie confessed that the backlash hit her hard at first.
"I've been caught in so much controversy recently because of my character. It reignited past issues and blew up into a massive discussion. To be honest, when I first faced the criticism, I was terrified. It felt like past trauma resurfacing—almost like PTSD. When it all hit at once, I was really down for days," she revealed.
Despite the negativity, she insisted she doesn’t actively seek out hate comments online. But, like most people, she occasionally stumbles upon headlines that make her imagine the worst.
"Sometimes, just reading the title alone is enough to set off your thoughts," she added.
To cope, Jackie made some changes in her life.
"I decided to disconnect from the internet and take a break from social media. Instead, I went back to an old habit—reading books. I truly believe that bad times don’t last forever," she said with optimism.
While criticism still lingers, Jackie Li is determined to stay strong and face every challenge with a positive mindset.
