Ivy Shao isn’t tying the knot anytime soon!
The Taiwanese actress recently shut down marriage rumours with Wu Kangren while attending a wrap-up party for her latest film.
“There’s really nothing!” she told reporters, looking amused.
Even her mum had called to ask if the rumours were true! But Ivy was quick to clarify—there’s no secret wedding, no family pressure, and absolutely no rush.
“I wouldn’t get married in secret. There’s no need,” she said casually.
She also revealed that marriage isn’t even a topic of discussion between her and Wu Kangren.
“We just go with the flow. Wherever it leads, it leads,” she added.

Ivy and Wu Kangren went public with their relationship on 11 November 2020, making it the first time she openly acknowledged a partner since her debut.
While Wu is currently working in China, Ivy assured fans their relationship is still going strong, with video calls keeping them connected.
For now, Ivy is focused on her new film 啵me之我的青春住了鬼 (Bo Me: My Youth is Haunted), where she plays a ghost in a supernatural romance.
The role even required her to take on action scenes and traditional opera performances—something she never expected to do!
“It’s a whole new challenge, both physically and performance-wise,” she admitted.
The cast also braved cold weather for outdoor and night shoots, but Ivy described the experience as rewarding.
Marriage? Maybe later. But for now, Ivy Shao is just enjoying the ride!
