This move has sparked heated discussions among fans.

The love ban has always been a strict policy in Yasushi Akimoto’s groups, meant to keep idols focused on their careers.

In J-Pop, many fans believe that if an idol prioritises their romantic life, it could affect their performance, especially if personal issues creep into their stage presence.

A bad day in a relationship could mean a lacklustre performance, and that’s the last thing audiences want to see.

Scandals involving idols and secret relationships have always been a hot topic in the 48 Group fandom, but this one feels different.

Some fans are saying this is the first time a dating rumour has hit so close to home—right in front of the fans’ faces. Many are now questioning just how many other members are secretly dating behind the scenes.

With this controversy, some fans are urging CGM48’s management to re-evaluate its stance.

Should the rules be stricter, or should idols be given more freedom in their personal lives?

Whatever the answer, Angel’s suspension has reignited the never-ending debate about love bans in the idol world.
