CKG48 Trainee ZhuZhu Hit with Red Card Sanction
Shanghai Siba STAR48 has once again shown how strict they are with CKG48's rules, and this time, Peng XiZhu—affectionately known as ZhuZhu—got caught in the storm.
The trainee idol from Sichuan, who joined CKG48 in June 2023, has been slapped with a red card for breaking the idol code of conduct.
Her punishment?
Effective immediately, all of her activities are halted, except for a few pre-scheduled ones.

In SNH48 Group (which includes SNH48, BEJ48, GNZ48, CKG48, CGT48, SHY48 etc.), the Yellow Card and Red Card system is used as disciplinary actions for members who violate the group's rules.
- Yellow Card (警告 / Warning): A serious warning but not an immediate suspension. It’s like a final notice before harsher penalties. A member receiving a yellow card is under strict observation, and further violations could lead to harsher punishment.
- Red Card (红牌 / Suspension/Punishment): A much more severe punishment. When a member receives a red card, they are either suspended from activities for a period of time or, in some cases, even expelled from the group.
These cards act as a way to enforce discipline and maintain the idol image that SNH48 Group wants to uphold. Members who get repeated red cards usually don’t last long in the group.
This isn’t her first brush with trouble either.
Back in June 2024, she was demoted from Team K to Trainee for a similar violation.
In their official statement, CKG48 management stressed the importance of idols maintaining a positive image and promoting the right values.
They were blunt about ZhuZhu’s “weak idol awareness” and even revealed she hid the truth during several discussions.
Ouch.
The message was clear: break the rules, and there are consequences.
STAR48 has a reputation for being no-nonsense about discipline.
Even senior members have been kicked out in the past for violations.
ZhuZhu, born on 7 September, might be adored for her charm, but being an idol isn’t just about cute smiles and catchy songs.
It’s about responsibility, too. Let’s see if she bounces back from this or follows in the footsteps of those who were shown the door.
