| Are Jen and Zac Affleck Heading for Divorce? Their Marriage Update. |
The latest Jen and Zac Affleck relationship update has fans of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives wondering whether the couple are still together after years of marital ups and downs. Despite mounting speculation, there is no confirmed split. Jen and Zac remain married, while their relationship continues to look considerably more complicated than the tidy couple-content version of marriage Instagram would have us believe.
Jen and Zac have been under the microscope since the reality series began, largely because their marriage has never been presented as an entirely smooth ride. The pair first met through the Mormon dating app Mutual in 2018, and their relationship moved remarkably quickly.
Zac proposed during a trip to New York in January 2019, when Jen was 18, and they married later that year at an LDS temple in Newport Beach, California. They eventually became parents to Nora in 2021 and Luca in 2023, with their family continuing to grow as their public lives became increasingly complicated.
Their relationship came under much greater pressure after the Chippendales incident in Las Vegas, which became one of the defining moments in their Secret Lives of Mormon Wives storyline. Zac faced criticism from viewers as well as people close to Jen, including Jessi Ngatikaura and Demi Engemann.
By the second season, he acknowledged just how much outside pressure had landed on their marriage, saying it sometimes felt as though everyone was waiting for them to fall apart. Reality television, naturally, proved to be the perfect place to attempt marital repair in front of millions of people.
Rather than quietly carrying on as before, Jen and Zac made some significant changes. Jen decided against moving to New York and instead enrolled in medical school in Arizona, while the couple acknowledged that they had been spending periods apart.
Zac continued travelling between Utah and Arizona as they tried to work through their problems. Therapy, difficult conversations and a willingness to rethink their relationship became part of the process, although none of those things magically transformed their marriage overnight.
Things became even more emotionally demanding when Jen discovered she was pregnant with their third child. She later described that period as extremely difficult, and the family eventually moved to Arizona. By the later stages of the pregnancy, Jen and Zac appeared to have found more stability. Their family welcomed another baby in July 2025, following a natural home birth that Zac said changed how he viewed Jen and brought them closer together. Zac also increasingly took on the role of stay-at-home dad, particularly as Jen's career began moving in a different direction.
Jen's growing profile became another important part of their marriage story. Her work as a content creator opened opportunities with brands including MCo Beauty and Shak Home, while appearing on a Times Square billboard in April 2025 marked a major career milestone.
Her stint on Dancing With the Stars also pushed her further into the spotlight, with Zac publicly supporting her throughout the competition. For a while, it looked as though the couple had managed to turn some of their earlier difficulties into a more workable arrangement.
But season five brought another familiar problem back into focus: Jen's ambitions and Zac's expectations did not always line up. When Jen talked about pursuing acting, she felt that Zac was not fully behind her career plans. She also questioned whether their traditional marriage dynamic would ever really change.
Zac maintained that he had supported Jen in many ways but struggled with some of her choices because of his religious views, particularly his expectations surrounding modesty. Their disagreements became heated enough for Jen to admit that she was uncertain about what their future would ultimately look like.
That uncertainty has inevitably fed divorce rumours surrounding Jen and Zac Affleck, particularly after Jen began sharing more reflective posts about her life and personal growth. Her social media messages about dreams, mistakes, insecurities and becoming a different version of herself were enough to send fans into detective mode. Apparently, nothing says "please enjoy this perfectly normal Instagram post" quite like thousands of strangers analysing every sentence for clues about your marriage.
Still, there is an important distinction between speculation and confirmation. Jen has not announced that she and Zac are divorcing, and there is currently no confirmed indication that their marriage has ended. The couple moved to Orange County, California, in early 2026 for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County, and Zac moved with her.
Jen also revealed in June 2026 that she was expecting their fourth child, adding another major chapter to an already eventful family story. She has described this pregnancy as emotionally challenging too, echoing some of the difficulties she experienced during her previous pregnancy.
There is also plenty of evidence that the pair have continued functioning as a family. Zac remains focused on life as a stay-at-home father, while both have continued working on social media projects. Their family also enjoyed a Disneyland trip with fellow cast members in 2025, and their move to California has opened yet another phase of their lives together. Whatever tensions exist behind closed doors, their public story is far from one that can currently be summed up as a confirmed separation.
My take is that the Jen and Zac divorce rumours are getting ahead of the evidence. Their marriage clearly has problems, and pretending otherwise would make absolutely no sense after everything viewers have watched unfold. Jen has become more confident about her career, identity and ambitions, while Zac appears to be trying to reconcile those changes with the values he has always held. That is a pretty substantial adjustment for any couple, never mind one doing it while cameras, castmates and an internet full of relationship detectives are watching.
Jen's cryptic posts may sound dramatic when placed under a microscope, but people are allowed to reflect on their lives without secretly announcing a divorce. At the same time, her repeated comments about feeling unsupported are worth paying attention to because they suggest genuine tension rather than manufactured reality-TV drama. For now, though, they are still married, expecting another baby and navigating a complicated chapter together. Whether they emerge stronger or eventually choose different paths is something only time will settle.
For now, the safest answer to “Are Jen and Zac still together?” is yes. They remain married, but their relationship is clearly still being tested by Jen's career ambitions, Zac's expectations and the pressures that come with building a family in the public eye. With another baby on the way and their California chapter unfolding, there is certainly no shortage of material for the next season. But what do you think: are Jen and Zac genuinely working through their problems, or does their latest chapter suggest bigger trouble ahead?
