Jackson Wang: "Fame Is a Bubble, It Won’t Last Forever"

Jackson Wang Opens Up About Fame, Life & Going Solo

Jackson Wang is keeping it real.

The global star, fresh off his new single High Alone, recently sat down with celebrity agent Yang Tianzhen on her podcast, dropping some raw thoughts on fame, mental health, and why he doesn’t need a manager.

At 30, Jackson’s seen it all—the highs of success and the lows that come with it.

He admitted that fame hasn’t been the fairytale people imagine.

"How can people be like this?" he questioned, reflecting on the emotional wounds that don’t just heal with hard work.

He’s learned that while lost opportunities can be regained, some things—like peace of mind—are harder to recover.

On mental health, Jackson shared that his outlook has shifted over the years.

Once full of youthful optimism, he now sees the world with more clarity.

"I'm not particularly happy or unhappy," he said.

"Reality isn’t as great as I imagined, but it’s not terrible either. It’s just a fact, and I accept it."

Then there’s the manager situation.

Jackson doesn’t have one, and he’s fine with that.

He explained that while big agencies help artists stay organised, they don’t always prioritise creativity.

"Most agents aren’t artists. They rely on data—if things go well, great. If they don’t, the artist takes the fall," he pointed out.

Yang Tianzhen, coming from the industry, agreed.

Artists want managers to focus solely on them, but agencies juggle multiple clients.

If an artist makes it big, they might not stick around. If they flop, the agency still has bills to pay.

And what about the future?

Will Jackson be okay if one day, people stop recognising him?

He’s already made peace with it.

"If people still know me at 40, I’ll be grateful. Fame is a bubble—it won’t last forever. What matters is what you create."

Raw, honest, and self-aware—that’s Jackson Wang in 2025.
