STU48 is stepping up its game with regular theatre performances in Japan’s capital, Tokyo.
The group has teamed up with Club Mixa, an arts and performance centre, to establish the “Tokyo Theatre.”
Fans can look forward to live performances at Mixa Live House, which is directly managed by King Records.
For these Tokyo shows, STU48 will stick with their well-loved setlists, including “Boku no Taiyou” and “Hana wa Dare no Mono?”
Both have already made waves among fans and are set to continue captivating audiences in this new venue.
Since losing their iconic ship theatre, the group has shifted their performances to various venues.
One of the most notable Tokyo venues used before was the Hulic Theatre.
Now, with Mixa Live House becoming a regular stage, the group is bringing even more opportunities for fans to see them perform in the heart of Tokyo.
STU48 continues to hold regular shows in Hiroshima, but a large number of fans are urging the management to organise special performances back in Setouchi, the group’s home region.
The connection between the group and their hometown remains strong, with many supporters feeling that Setouchi should remain a special place for the group’s iconic performances.
As the youngest sister group of AKB48, STU48 made waves with their ship theatre, which offered a one-of-a-kind experience where audiences could enjoy performances while cruising.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the ship had to be sold, and now the group is performing in land-based venues like other AKB48 sister groups.
Although times have changed, fans are excited about what’s to come with this new chapter for STU48 in Tokyo, bringing fresh energy while still holding onto the essence that made them unique.
