ANGERME’s Kawamura Ayano Makes Tuna History

ANGERME’s Kawamura Ayano Makes Tuna History

Ayano Kawamura, the 25-year-old sub-leader of the idol group ANGERME, showed off her impressive skills by dissecting a massive 40kg yellowfin tuna.

This wasn’t just any ordinary performance – Kawamura is the first woman in Japan to be accredited as a first-class tuna dismantler, which is no small feat.

She has been deeply involved in this trade for some time now and, alongside her role as a special tourism envoy for Kochi Prefecture, has really made a name for herself.

People were amazed by how confidently she worked with the fish, demonstrating precision and respect for the traditional method of tuna dismantling.

Kawamura’s passion for the craft is clear, and her involvement in Kochi’s tourism promotion has only strengthened the connection between local culture and the entertainment world.

Not only did her performance draw a big crowd, but it also highlighted the unique traditions of Kochi, further promoting its appeal as a tourist destination.

She’s proving that idols can go far beyond the stage!
