Ni Ni Ouyang Says Life Now Revolves Around Baby Mumu: “Everything’s About the Kid Now” |
Actress and second-gen celeb Nini Ouyang might’ve spent the early part of her career juggling scripts and cameras, but these days, her world’s got one name at the centre — baby Mumu.
In a recent Q&A session on Instagram, the 28-year-old new mum got candid with fans about how life’s been ever since she welcomed her daughter with actor Bryan Chang this January.
While she’s been relatively open about her pregnancy journey before, this time Nini gave a raw and wholesome peek into the nitty-gritty bits of mum life — from breastfeeding to baby weight, and all the chaos and cuddles in between.
“I used to just live for myself, do whatever I wanted,” Nini shared. “Now, almost everything revolves around my child.”
She added that the biggest shift has been mental — it’s no longer about me time, it’s Mumu time.

Still Got 2kg to Go, But No Rush
When one follower asked how she bounced back so quickly after giving birth, Nini didn’t sugarcoat it.
“I gained 16kg during pregnancy. Maybe because I breastfed full-time at first, I lost most of it quite fast,” she wrote. “But I still have 2kg left — haven’t really started proper dieting yet.”
For the record: her followers were floored, many saying she looks like she never even gave birth. But Nini laughed it off, saying the glow might just be from running on love (and probably three hours of sleep, let’s be real).
She also shared that Mumu was breastfed exclusively for five months, before recently being weaned — not because Nini wanted to stop, but because the little one started needing more than milk alone.

From Surgery to Snuggles: Her Birth Experience Wasn’t as Scary as You’d Think
While most people shudder at the thought of childbirth, especially C-sections, Nini kept it surprisingly chill.
“Everything happened so fast I didn’t even have time to panic. The nurses were so sweet,” she said, recalling the moment she looked at the nurse and asked, “Can I hold your hand?” during the epidural.
After the surgery, she was up and walking pretty soon, with her younger sister Ouyang Nana (yep, the cello prodigy!) helping her take her first steps post-op. Nini said it wasn’t as painful as she’d expected — “maybe my pain tolerance is high... or maybe I forgot how bad it was,” she joked.
Sweet Domestic Life in Hangzhou with Baby, Bryan & a Cat
Another showed proud grandpa Ouyang Long beaming as he cradled his granddaughter, eyes full of love. Bryan, meanwhile, was caught in dad mode, playing with Mumu in bed while their cat kept watch nearby.
And through all of it, Ouyang Nini credits Bryan as her rock —
“He really lets me still be myself,” she said, calling him her “teammate for life.”
