| Where Was Verity Filmed? All Filming Locations Revealed. |
Verity was filmed primarily in Armonk and New York City, New York, after the production shifted away from its original Los Angeles plan. The change followed the Southern California wildfires in January 2025, with principal photography reportedly beginning in February and running until early April. For a film built around one unsettling, isolated family home, finding the right property was clearly rather important — and the production landed on a striking mid-century estate that looks like it was designed specifically to make everyone in the story slightly uncomfortable.
Armonk, New York, provides the most recognisable filming location in Verity. The Crawford family home is actually Beckoning Path, a distinctive 27-acre lakefront property in the Westchester County hamlet. Originally designed by Danish designer Jens Quistgaard, the estate has a dramatic mid-century modern appearance, complete with a jagged saw-tooth roof that gives the building a rather unusual silhouette. It is now used as a wellness retreat centre, which is mildly amusing considering that the fictional family living there are hardly poster children for inner peace.
The house became the central visual foundation for Verity, giving the production a location that could feel luxurious without losing its sense of isolation. Production designer Amy Williams described the design concept as resembling a shipwrecked boat crashing into the landscape, an idea that fits the film's uneasy atmosphere rather neatly. The unusual roof also creates shapes resembling teeth or fangs, adding another slightly sinister detail without needing the film to spell everything out.
The interior of the Armonk property was equally important. Rather than treating the house as a conventional luxury residence, the production leaned into its mid-century and brutalist influences. Timber, natural textures, exposed rock and strong architectural lines helped create the visual identity of the Crawford estate. The result is a home that looks expensive, carefully designed and just a little too strange to feel completely welcoming — which is probably exactly what Verity needed.
New York City, New York, was another major part of the Verity filming locations. The production used several parts of Manhattan, bringing Lowen's increasingly complicated story into a much more recognisable urban setting. One reported filming area was Pershing Square, the well-known bistro at 90 East 42nd Street, positioned outside the south entrance of Grand Central Terminal. The location gives the film a distinctly New York backdrop and provides a sharp contrast with the secluded Crawford estate.
Filming also took place around 41st Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in March 2025. The busy streets of Midtown offered a completely different visual language from the quiet surroundings of the Crawford property. That contrast works particularly well for a story in which Lowen is pulled between an ordinary outside world and an increasingly claustrophobic private environment.
Glendale, Queens, also formed part of the production. The cast and crew used Broadway Stages in the neighbourhood, where soundstage facilities allowed the filmmakers to construct several of the movie's recurring interiors. This was particularly useful because recreating the Crawford home indoors required considerably more control than simply filming inside the real Armonk property.
Among the recreated spaces were Verity's bedroom, bathroom and office, all designed to echo the architecture and visual character of Beckoning Path. The production therefore combined location filming with carefully constructed sets rather than relying on one property for every scene. It is the sort of filmmaking trick audiences may barely notice, which is usually a sign that the production design is doing its job properly.
The interiors were developed to remain consistent with Quistgaard's original architectural style. Williams and set decorator Kendall Anderson incorporated timber built-ins, natural materials and exposed rock to make the recreated rooms feel like genuine extensions of the Armonk house. Rather than making everything look conventionally polished, the design keeps some of the unusual architectural character that makes the property memorable in the first place.
Verity's study received an especially distinctive makeover. The production created a womb-like structure featuring a hexagonal skylight, shag carpeting and a sunken conversation pit. Yes, a conversation pit in an office sounds like exactly the sort of architectural decision that would make a normal person ask a few questions. In Verity, however, the eccentric design helps reinforce the character's unusual world and gives the room an identity beyond simply being another expensive-looking movie set.
The combination of Armonk, Manhattan and Glendale gives Verity a useful visual rhythm. The real Crawford estate provides the secluded setting, Manhattan supplies the wider city environment and Broadway Stages allows the production to control the interiors where much of the psychological tension unfolds. Instead of making the film look like it was shot entirely inside one mansion, the production could move between real architecture and constructed spaces while maintaining a consistent visual style.
The production's move from Los Angeles to New York also ended up shaping the film's visual identity. The original plan was to shoot in California, but the January 2025 wildfires in Southern California prompted the change. New York subsequently became the primary production base, with Armonk offering the secluded property required for the Crawford residence and New York City supplying the urban locations and studio infrastructure needed to complete the film.
The Verity locations are one of those cases where the setting does a lot of the storytelling before anyone says a word. Beckoning Path is easily the standout because it looks luxurious without feeling particularly cosy, which is a useful trick for a thriller centred on secrets, obsession and a family with rather too much going on behind closed doors. The New York City scenes add another layer by pulling Lowen out of that strange private world and putting her against a recognisable urban backdrop.
I also like the decision to recreate key interiors rather than forcing every scene into the real house. It gives the filmmakers more control while keeping the architecture consistent. And that bizarre office conversation pit? Completely unnecessary in real life, wonderfully excessive for a psychological thriller. Sometimes questionable interior design is exactly what cinema needs.
So, if you were wondering where Verity was filmed, the answer comes down to a carefully selected mix of Armonk, New York City and Glendale, Queens, with the Crawford estate at Beckoning Path providing the film's defining location. The combination gives the movie its isolated mansion, metropolitan streets and controlled studio interiors without making the setting feel repetitive.
