| Love Is Blind Season 11: What Happened to Jax and Stew? |
Jax Guelli and Scott “Stew” Stewart appeared to have a promising connection on Netflix’s Love Is Blind Season 11, but their first meeting outside the pods quickly turned into an awkward reality check. Despite bonding over their shared interests, discussing their dream wedding and eventually getting engaged, the Boston singles struggled to translate their emotional connection into a romantic moment that worked for both of them.
Jax subsequently left the experiment, leaving viewers wondering whether their relationship had any chance of surviving outside the show. Although the pair later reunited for a conversation, there is no clear public confirmation that Jax and Stew are still together. Their continued connection on Instagram suggests they may have remained on friendly terms, but without a public reconciliation or clear evidence of a romantic relationship, it would be premature to declare them a couple.
Jacqueline “Jax” Guelli and Stew initially seemed like a surprisingly good match in the pods. Jax wanted someone who could match her energy, bring positivity into her life and support her ambitions as a businesswoman. Stew, meanwhile, valued his independence but felt ready to find someone who could join him on life's adventures.
in theory, their priorities were not worlds apart. Both appeared interested in finding a relationship that could accommodate their individual ambitions while giving them a genuine sense of partnership. Naturally, Love Is Blind had other plans for them, because a few promising conversations are rarely enough to guarantee a smooth journey towards the altar.
As their conversations progressed, Jax and Stew discovered several shared interests, including their taste in fashion, home aesthetics and musical theatre. They both loved Phantom of the Opera and had performed in theatre during their school years, giving them something more substantial to discuss than the usual dating-show small talk. Stew even correctly guessed the engagement ring Jax had always imagined wearing, which understandably made an impression. For a while, the pair appeared to be building a connection that could survive beyond the pods.
However, one conversation introduced a significant concern. Stew admitted that he had never told anyone he loved them and had never been in love. For Jax, who wanted a committed partner capable of expressing his feelings, the revelation raised questions about whether he was emotionally prepared for marriage.
Stew eventually reassured her that their conversations had helped him recognise his readiness to take that step with her. When he proposed in the pods, Jax accepted, seemingly putting those concerns behind them. Unfortunately, agreeing to marry someone without seeing them and meeting them face-to-face are two very different experiences.
Their first meeting changed everything. Stew was visibly impressed by Jax's appearance and expressed his admiration by getting down on one knee to propose again. Yet the moment did not deliver the romance Jax had imagined. Rather than feeling swept off her feet, she found the proposal lacking the personal touch she wanted. The contrast was striking: Stew appeared to believe he was delivering a memorable romantic gesture, while Jax was left wishing for something more meaningful.
Jax eventually decided to leave the experiment, initially choosing not to meet Stew again to explain her feelings. Her departure understandably caught him off guard, but Stew maintained that he did not regret taking part in the experience. The situation was uncomfortable for both, and it highlighted a problem that can easily be overlooked during the excitement of the pods: two people can genuinely connect emotionally and still have very different expectations of romance.
Jax and Stew's relationship did not end with their first meeting, however. The pair met again at a restaurant towards the end of episode five, suggesting there was still a conversation to be had after their initial disappointment. The reunion offered an opportunity to understand each other's perspectives, although a second meeting should not automatically be mistaken for a romantic comeback. Sometimes, two people simply need to talk through an uncomfortable experience rather than pretend it never happened.
In a later interview, Jax explained that the proposal had not unfolded as she had pictured it. She had hoped Stew would put more effort into his speech and make the moment feel personal, but she struggled to find the emotional connection she expected. Stew, for his part, acknowledged that the situation had been awkward. He explained that the circumstances were difficult to prepare for and that the participants had very little time to process everything happening around them. Rather than placing all the blame on Jax or himself, he recognised how unusual the experiment was.
Jax subsequently admitted that she regretted walking away without giving Stew one final opportunity to understand her feelings. She explained that the intensity of the moment had overwhelmed her and prompted a flight response. That admission adds an important layer to the story: her decision was not necessarily a simple rejection of Stew, but a reaction to a situation she found difficult to navigate. Still, regret over how a relationship ended does not automatically mean someone wants to restart it.
Since leaving the show, Jax and Stew have continued following each other on Instagram. However, there has been no clear public indication that they have reconciled romantically, and the absence of shared couple content offers little evidence of a reunion. Social media can provide clues, but it is hardly a reliable relationship status report. Plenty of former dating-show contestants remain connected online without getting back together. For now, Jax and Stew appear to have gone their separate ways, although neither their online connection nor the available public information definitively establishes the current status of their relationship.
Away from the relationship drama, Jax has plenty to keep her occupied. The entrepreneur launched JAX SKINCARE in January 2017, building a business around her interest in minimalist skincare. She later expanded into retail, opening the luxury boutique HOUSE OF JAX in September 2022. The store eventually closed in late 2024 as she shifted her attention towards other ventures. Rather than treating that chapter as the end of her entrepreneurial ambitions, Jax continued exploring new opportunities, including hosting a makeup workshop in March 2026.
Her business journey reached another milestone in August 2026, when she announced that her skincare products would be available through JCPenney. The development offered her brand an opportunity to reach a wider customer base and demonstrated that her professional life was moving forward regardless of what happened on reality television. Not every contestant leaves a dating show with a wedding to plan, but building a business can be a rather useful alternative.
Jax has also developed a social media presence, attracting more than 6,200 followers on Instagram while maintaining an Amazon Storefront and a ShopMy account. These platforms allow her to share products and recommendations with her audience.
Outside work, she enjoys fine dining, travelling and exploring destinations across France, Italy and England. She also makes time for her parents and her dog, Wednesday. Between running a skincare business, pursuing new opportunities and travelling, Jax appears to have a full schedule. A failed reality-show romance is hardly the only thing defining her life.
Stew has followed a different professional path, building a career in engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering and completed a minor in Business Administration at Northeastern University in May 2015. His working life began earlier, when he joined Eversource Energy as a gas supply co-op in January 2012. After six months, he moved on to other opportunities before joining SharkNinja as a Mechanical Design Engineer in October 2016.
His career subsequently progressed to Technical Project Manager at SharkNinja, before he left the company in August 2019. He then worked as a Technology Specialist at Wolf Greenfield until June 2020. Stew later returned to SharkNinja, this time as an Engineering Manager, and continued progressing through the organisation to become Senior Engineering Manager. In January 2025, he was appointed Director of Engineering, marking a significant step in his professional development.
Outside the office, Stew enjoys hiking, skiing and travelling. His adventures have taken him to destinations including Italy and China, while a trip to Corfu, Greece, in July 2026 offered an opportunity to enjoy the beaches and a glass of wine. He also maintains a close relationship with his mother and sister, who remain important sources of support in his life. His career trajectory suggests that he has been focused on building a stable professional future, even if his attempt to find lasting romance on television proved considerably less straightforward.
Ultimately, the question of whether Jax and Stew are still together remains difficult to answer definitively without a direct update from either of them. Their story was not short on potential: they shared interests, discussed marriage and took the significant step of getting engaged. Yet their first face-to-face encounter exposed a gap between the relationship they had imagined and the experience they actually had. That disconnect does not necessarily mean their connection was fake; it simply shows how difficult it can be to turn emotional compatibility into a lasting partnership when expectations differ.
My take is that Jax and Stew's story is one of the more relatable reminders of what makes Love Is Blind so unpredictable. Finding someone who shares your interests is one thing, but feeling understood by them is another. Stew may have believed his proposal showed affection, while Jax wanted a gesture that reflected the connection they had built. Neither expectation was inherently unreasonable, yet the mismatch became difficult to overcome in an already intense environment.
Jax's later regret also suggests that leaving was an emotional reaction rather than a decision she had fully processed. Still, a reunion does not guarantee a second chance, and following each other online certainly does not mean wedding bells are approaching. Until either confirms otherwise, it is best to treat their relationship as unresolved publicly rather than assume they have reunited. What do you think: should Jax have given Stew more time, or was their first meeting enough to show they were not the right match?
