Katie Fites may have entered The Traitors: New Blood as the youngest contestant, but she clearly had no intention of letting that become her defining feature. The Florida State University graduate has since moved into marketing and media, combining photography, social media, client work and on-camera content while enjoying a busy life between Tallahassee, Jacksonville and her travels. Her reality TV appearance may have given viewers a brief look at her competitive side, but her life since then has been considerably less about secret manoeuvring and considerably more about building a career.
On the first season of NBC’s The Traitors: New Blood, Katie arrived with a particularly useful combination for a competition built around alliances: she was sociable, confident and seemingly comfortable making herself heard. Being the youngest person in the group could easily have left her playing second fiddle, but Katie was determined not to be treated as the kid of the cast. She saw her age as something she could work around rather than an automatic disadvantage, and her strategy was built around being personable while staying switched on.
Katie also had a clear preference when it came to the central roles of the game. Rather than becoming a Faithful and spending the competition trying to identify the people secretly working against everyone else, she wanted to be a Traitor herself. Frankly, she had a point. Why spend the entire season wondering who is lying when you could potentially be one of the people doing the lying? It was exactly the sort of opportunity she was hoping for when the production introduced a third Traitor position.

Away from the reality competition, Katie has been building a career in marketing and media, with her professional experience stretching back several years. Her first job came while she was still in high school, when she worked as a pharmacy assistant at A1A Pharmacy in Jacksonville between April and August 2020. From there, she moved through retail and customer-facing positions while gradually developing a stronger interest in photography, media, events and promotional work.
That interest became much clearer during her time at Florida State University, where she studied Communication and Media Studies from August 2023 to May 2025. University life was not exactly a quiet academic existence either.
Katie took on several leadership positions with Alpha Delta Pi, including Chair of Special Events, where she helped organise large-scale events involving as many as 700 attendees. She also served as Vice President of Event and Risk Management from November 2022 to November 2023 and later became Director of New Member Experience from November 2023 to November 2024.
Alongside her studies and university commitments, Katie worked to support herself, taking jobs including retail associate at Wonsaponatime Vintage and bartender. She then gained more directly relevant professional experience as a Media Intern with Florida State University’s College of Communication & Information between April 2024 and May 2025.
The position allowed her to write and edit stories, create social media material and graphics, and develop her photography skills. In other words, she was already quietly assembling the toolkit for the career she appears to be pursuing now.
Since May 2025, Katie has worked at 904 Happy Hour as a Marketing & Media Sales Partner, a position that brings together several of the areas she has been developing. Her responsibilities involve photography, social media, client partnerships and on-camera content, giving her a role that sits comfortably between marketing, communications and digital media. It also looks like a fairly natural progression from everything she was doing during university rather than a random career detour after reality television.
And that is arguably the most interesting part of Katie’s post-show story. Reality television can sometimes become the main headline of a contestant’s life, but Katie appears to be using her existing interests rather than relying entirely on her appearance on The Traitors: New Blood.
Her current work gives her room to be creative, interact with clients and stay in front of the camera, while her background in communications gives her a useful foundation. The Traitors might have tested whether she could read people; marketing requires her to understand them without anyone dramatically announcing a round table.
Katie is also keeping herself busy outside work, with Tallahassee, Florida, serving as her base while she continues to spend plenty of time with friends and family. She appears to be developing her presence on social media and has shared glimpses of a life that is considerably more relaxed than the tense atmosphere of The Traitors. Weddings, nights out, celebrations and time with people close to her all feature in the picture, suggesting that her social calendar is doing a perfectly respectable job of keeping her occupied.
Her travels have added another layer to that lifestyle. Katie attended a Jacksonville Jaguars game at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville in January 2026, before heading to the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix in May. That same month, she travelled to Arizona, followed by a trip to Michigan in August 2026. Apparently, sitting around waiting for another reality TV opportunity was never really part of the master plan.
There is also something rather fitting about the contrast between Katie’s reality TV persona and her life now. On The Traitors: New Blood, she was placed in a situation where trust was temporary, friendships could become strategic and every conversation could potentially come back to haunt someone.
Her current life seems almost comically straightforward by comparison: work in marketing, take photographs, make social content, travel, attend events and spend time with people she actually likes. No secret role. No suspicious whispers. No wondering whether someone is about to send her home.
Katie’s post-Traitors journey is more interesting precisely because it does not revolve around trying to remain a reality TV personality. She had the confidence and personality to stand out on the show, but she also had a career direction already taking shape. Marketing and media suit the skills she developed at university, while her event experience suggests she is comfortable handling both people and pressure.
There is a slightly amusing irony in watching someone who once had to worry about who might betray her now working in client partnerships, where hopefully the biggest betrayal is someone forgetting to reply to an email. Her travels and social life also make it clear that she has plenty going on away from television. Whether she eventually returns to reality TV is another question, but for now, she seems perfectly happy building something on her own terms.
Katie Fites may have left The Traitors: New Blood behind, but her story certainly did not end when the cameras stopped rolling. She is now developing her marketing and media career while travelling, spending time with friends and family and growing her social presence.
