| Gossip to Die For: Filming Locations and Cast Details. |
Gossip to Die For was filmed in and around London, with the UK capital providing the backdrop for Nanea Miyata’s murder-mystery thriller. The film follows Quinn Walker, a recently widowed homicide detective and single mother, as she returns to work and becomes involved in a string of high-profile killings.
Quinn is paired with Carter, a London-based detective who has travelled to the United States while also pursuing a personal case. Their different approaches create an uneasy partnership, but the two have to put those differences aside as they investigate the murders. The story moves between busy city locations, polished properties and darker corners of the capital as the investigation develops.
Where was Gossip to Die For filmed?
Production took place in England, primarily across London and nearby areas. Principal photography reportedly began in November 2023 under the working title Deadly Gossip and lasted roughly three weeks, wrapping in December.
London features prominently throughout the film, with several recognisable locations used for exterior and establishing shots. Among the locations associated with the production are One Canada Square, Newfoundland, One Park Drive, Landmark Pinnacle and Piccadilly Circus.
The production also spent time in Hampstead, in the London Borough of Camden. Judd Street was used for outdoor sequences involving Quinn, with local businesses and shopfronts appearing in the background. A nearby car park was also used by the cast and crew for portions of the shoot.
The choice of London fits the story particularly well, given Carter's background as a London detective and the film's urban crime setting. Rather than relying entirely on controlled sets, the production uses recognisable streets and buildings to establish the environment in which Quinn's investigation unfolds.
Director Nanea Miyata also acknowledged the contribution of the UK-based cast and crew after filming, reflecting the relatively short but intensive production period.
Gossip to Die For cast
The film is led by Susan Ateh and Jay Rincon, playing Quinn Walker and Carter respectively. The supporting cast includes Roisin Browne, Hunter del Valle Marfo, Doña Croll, Luis Donegan-Brown, Nicole Miners, Roger Ajogbe and Maria Crittell.
Susan Ateh as Quinn Walker
Susan Ateh plays Quinn Walker, the homicide detective at the centre of the investigation. Quinn is also dealing with life as a single mother following the death of her husband, adding a personal dimension to her return to police work.
Ateh has built a varied screen career, with credits including $50K and a Call Girl: A Love Story, Following Footsteps and Inner Demons. Her television work includes appearances in Doctors, Come Home, Redwater, Beyond Therapy and The Clinic.
Her experience extends beyond acting as well. Ateh has worked as a writer, stunt performer and producer on earlier projects, giving her experience across several areas of film production.
Jay Rincon as Carter
Jay Rincon takes on Carter, the London detective brought into Quinn's investigation. The character provides a contrasting perspective as the pair attempt to connect the murders and identify who is responsible.
Rincon has appeared in a range of film and television productions, including Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, The Beekeeper, Cobweb and Coronation Street. He is also known for voice work in video games, with credits including Dead Island 2, Stellar Blade, RoboCop: Rogue City and Brazen Blaze.
Before moving into screen work, Rincon studied Music Theatre Performance at Western Michigan University and appeared in stage productions.
The supporting cast features Roisin Browne as Anna Moore, Hunter del Valle Marfo as Liam, Doña Croll as Captain Elis, Luis Donegan-Brown as Jason, Nicole Miners as Shiloh Johnson, Roger Ajogbe as Officer Ryan and Maria Crittell as Mia Bailey.
With London serving as a major filming base and the central investigation split between Quinn and Carter, Gossip to Die For combines a city-based detective story with a more personal thread surrounding its lead character.
