Just across town, Valley Sports Arenas became the production headquarters throughout much of filming. Instead of skaters filling the car park, the venue was occupied by camera trucks, trailers, lighting rigs and an army of crew members keeping the ambitious shoot running on schedule. One of the film's biggest transformations happened in Townsend, Massachusetts, where Cherry Hill Ice Cream received a complete cinematic makeover.
The familiar roadside shop became a fictional highway truck stop that hosts one of the film's biggest comedy sequences involving suspicious deliveries, dramatic confrontations and an unforgettable maple syrup truck explosion. Only this franchise could turn syrup into an action prop without anyone questioning it for too long.

The production also made extensive use of roads surrounding the Quabbin Reservoir, whose long stretches of open highway provided the perfect backdrop for signature patrol scenes, high-speed pursuits and roadside stops. The scenery captures the isolated feeling of northern New England while giving the troopers plenty of room to create trouble wherever they drive.
Elsewhere across central Massachusetts, filming expanded into Lexington, Belchertown, Pelham and Shutesbury, each contributing rural roads, quiet town centres and wooded landscapes that help create the wider world of fictional Spurbury. Together, these communities blend seamlessly on screen, making viewers believe the state police really patrol one sprawling Vermont jurisdiction.
The filmmakers also returned to a familiar warehouse space close to Boston, where the interior police barracks from Super Troopers 2 were reconstructed almost from scratch.
Offices, dispatch rooms and shared workspaces were rebuilt to preserve continuity with earlier films. It may look like the same station audiences remember, but much of it was carefully recreated inside an indoor production facility rather than an active police building.
While Massachusetts carried most of the visual storytelling, Los Angeles, California handled the more technical side of production. Studio facilities there were used for interior pick-up shots, soundstage work and specialised green-screen vehicle sequences that would have been difficult to achieve on public roads.
