Khom Khlang (ข่มขลัง) is set to bring a very different kind of Thai GL drama to screens this September, combining romance with supernatural mystery, ancient spiritual traditions and a detective story that begins when logic simply stops being useful. Also known as Formidable Eyes, the upcoming series will premiere on 7 September 2026, with new episodes scheduled every Monday at 8pm GMT+7 on WeTV. For international viewers, the platform will also carry the UNCUT version, with English subtitles available for overseas audiences.

The series stars Bint Sireethorn Leearamwat as Mae Khru Bulan and Puinoon Warangsiri Tanajarusworaphat as Lieutenant Pheem, bringing together two characters who could hardly approach the world from more different directions.

Pheem is a practical, highly rational police officer who relies on evidence and conventional explanations, while Bulan is a mysterious spiritual practitioner with knowledge of ancient practices, sacred scripts and protective traditions. Naturally, their first major problem is not deciding whether they like each other. It is agreeing on what reality actually means.

That clash sits at the heart of Khom Khlang. Pheem becomes involved in a case that refuses to fit neatly into the rules of ordinary police work, leaving her with questions that cannot be answered through evidence and logic alone.

Her investigation eventually leads her to Bulan, whose understanding of spiritual practices and ancient knowledge offers another way of approaching the mystery. The unlikely pair are then forced to work together as they uncover secrets surrounding sacred symbols, rituals and supernatural events.

What makes the setup particularly appealing is that the romance is woven into the investigation rather than simply placed beside it. Pheem begins the story as someone who has little reason to trust anything that cannot be explained, while Bulan is completely comfortable operating within a world shaped by spiritual beliefs and inherited knowledge.

As they spend more time together, the professional partnership gradually develops into something far more personal, giving the series a slow-burn relationship built around their increasingly complicated connection.

The drama is expected to carry a darker and more atmospheric tone than the lighter Thai GL romances that audiences may be accustomed to. Khom Khlang combines supernatural thriller, mystery, horror, romance and GL elements, with Thai folklore and spiritual traditions playing an important role in the story.

Sacred tattoos, ancient rituals, mystical symbols and protective practices are all part of the world surrounding the central mystery, giving the series plenty of room to create an identity beyond its romance.

At the same time, this is not simply a supernatural story with a romance added for decoration. The relationship between Pheem and Bulan is one of the main reasons the story works, particularly because their conflicting beliefs create an obvious source of tension.

Pheem wants something she can understand and prove, while Bulan possesses knowledge that exists far outside Pheem's usual frame of reference. Watching the most rational person in the room repeatedly encounter situations that refuse to follow the rules could become one of the show's most entertaining running themes.

The supporting cast includes Lookkaew Kamollak Sangsubsin as Lom and Anda Anunta Teavirat as Ratha, with both characters connected to the wider mystery surrounding the leads.

Their presence gives the story a broader circle of characters beyond the central pairing, which should help the supernatural investigation develop alongside Pheem and Bulan's relationship.

Khom Khlang Thai GL Drama Sets September Premiere on WeTV

There is already interest in the series from GL fans, particularly because Bint and Puinoon are at the centre of the project. Behind-the-scenes material has also given viewers an early look at the chemistry between the two leads, adding to the anticipation ahead of the premiere. For some fans, the pairing is the biggest reason to have 7 September marked on the calendar, while others appear more interested in seeing whether the supernatural storyline can match the attention surrounding the romance.

Fan reactions are not completely one-sided, though. The combination of a GL romance and Thai supernatural folklore has attracted plenty of curiosity, especially from viewers looking for something outside the more familiar romantic settings.

At the same time, some viewers are taking a wait-and-see approach, wanting to see how successfully the series balances its darker mystery with the emotional development between Pheem and Bulan.

After all, having a mysterious spiritual master, a sceptical police officer and ancient rituals in the same story sounds promising, but the real test is whether all those ingredients actually work together once the episodes begin.

For anyone asking how to watch Khom Khlang with English subtitles, the current plan is straightforward. The series premieres on WeTV on 7 September 2026 and airs every Monday at 8pm GMT+7 (Bangkok Time).

The UNCUT version will be available exclusively on WeTV for international audiences, giving overseas fans a clear option for following the series from its first episode. More broadcast platforms may be announced later, but WeTV is the confirmed destination in the current release information.

The series is planned to run for 10 episodes, giving the story enough space to develop both its central mystery and the slow-building relationship between its two leads.

That could be particularly important for Khom Khlang, since its appeal depends on more than simply revealing supernatural secrets. Pheem's changing understanding of Bulan, Bulan's growing connection with Pheem and the gradual movement from reluctant partnership to deeper trust are all expected to form a major part of the viewing experience.

For fans expecting a purely sweet GL romance, Khom Khlang may offer something considerably more unusual. Its world is darker, its mystery is central to the plot and its main couple begins from completely opposite sides of the belief spectrum.

Yet that contrast could be exactly what gives the drama its personality. Instead of asking whether two people from similar worlds can fall in love, it asks what happens when a woman who trusts evidence is forced to rely on someone whose knowledge exists beyond anything she previously believed.

With Khom Khlang arriving on 7 September, the countdown is officially on for one of the more distinctive Thai GL dramas scheduled for 2026. Will Pheem and Bulan become the pairing everyone is talking about, or will the supernatural mystery steal the spotlight from their romance? And most importantly, are you planning to watch it on WeTV from episode one, or are you waiting to see what fans say first?
