Rather than simply reviving the well-known YuuNaa pairing, the duo are introducing a completely new identity that reflects their growth beyond their idol years, proving that sometimes a new name really does mean new ambitions.

The name YUNARIS was chosen with international audiences in mind. According to the duo, it can be pronounced naturally across several languages, including Japanese, English, Korean and French, making it memorable for fans around the world.
The latter half of the name, "ARIS", comes from the Greek word "Aristos", meaning "the best" or "excellent", reflecting not only elegance but also the confidence and resilience both artists have developed throughout their careers.
Their concept leans heavily into symbolism without becoming overly complicated. Murayama Yuiri represents The Sun, dressed in striking shades of gold, orange and red to capture passion, warmth and energy.
Meanwhile, Okada Nana embodies The Moon, with silver, blue and black creating a calmer, mysterious image. Together, they represent two lights that illuminate the same world in different ways rather than competing against one another.
The second layer of the concept introduces Water and Fire, portraying two contrasting forces that strengthen each other instead of cancelling each other out. It's an ambitious idea that suggests harmony can exist without sameness.
Thankfully, this isn't one of those concepts that requires a university lecture to understand. The message is refreshingly straightforward: different personalities can create something stronger together.
