The future of MewRenee has taken an unexpected turn after North Star Production confirmed that Mew Thanthip Thaweesinthanat and Renée Veronica Pagano have officially concluded their professional partnership. The announcement also revealed that Renée has requested to withdraw from the upcoming Thai GL series Beauty & The Bike, leaving fans wondering what happens next for both the production and the actresses. For a pairing that had only recently begun building anticipation, the news arrived with little warning and quickly became one of the biggest talking points among Thai drama followers.

According to the official statement released on 6 July 2026, the decision to end the partnership was reached through mutual understanding, respect and goodwill. The company thanked both actresses for their dedication, commitment and the memorable work they shared with supporters during their time together.

North Star also confirmed that it respects Renée's decision to step away from Beauty & The Bike and will adjust the production schedule and casting plans accordingly so the project can continue moving forward.

While the statement remained professional and measured, it naturally left plenty of unanswered questions. The company did not provide further details about what led to the decision, nor did it announce who might replace Renée in Beauty & The Bike

That silence has only encouraged fans to speculate about the future of the series and whether parts of the production may need to be reworked before filming continues.

Much of the online discussion has centred around reports and fan speculation suggesting that Renée may simply wish to explore different acting opportunities instead of continuing as part of an established on-screen pairing.

At the time of writing, neither Renée Veronica Pagano nor Mew Thanthip Thaweesinthanat has publicly confirmed those claims. As a result, they remain unverified rumours rather than confirmed reasons behind the professional change.

Across social media, reactions have ranged from disappointment to understanding. Many supporters admitted they were caught completely off guard, with several describing the announcement as one of the most unexpected updates from the Thai GL industry this year.

Others expressed sympathy for Mew Thanthip, saying she had consistently worked hard to promote the pairing and looked fully committed to the project. Some fans also suggested that Renée may feel more comfortable taking on a wider variety of roles instead of being closely associated with one screen partnership.

There has also been concern about the future of Beauty & The Bike itself. Some viewers questioned whether the production will need to reshoot scenes or begin again with a new actress, while others believe the company announced the change early enough to minimise disruption.

Either way, replacing a lead performer is rarely as simple as swapping names on a poster. If only production schedules listened to optimism as well as fans do, television would be much easier to make.

Not everyone viewed the announcement negatively. A number of fans praised both actresses and North Star for handling the situation respectfully instead of allowing unnecessary public drama to overshadow their careers.

Many wished both performers success in future projects, saying that actors should be free to pursue roles that best match their personal ambitions and creative goals, even if that means bringing a popular partnership to an end.

For now, the biggest question remains who will join Mew Thanthip in Beauty & The Bike, assuming the series moves ahead with a new co-star.

North Star has promised further updates regarding the casting changes, and those announcements will likely be watched closely by both existing supporters and curious viewers eager to see how the production evolves.

Although the chapter for MewRenee appears to have officially closed, both actresses still have promising careers ahead. Whether this marks the beginning of entirely new creative directions or simply another step in their professional journeys remains to be seen.

What do you think about North Star's decision, and who would you like to see cast in Beauty & The Bike next?
