Fans hoping for a romantic reunion between Thanaerng Kanyawee and Jaylerr Kritsanapoom may need to hit the pause button. After weeks of growing speculation sparked by their friendly social media exchanges and public appearances, the Thai actress has finally addressed where things really stand. While the former couple remain close and genuinely enjoy each other's company, Thanaerng made it clear that their relationship has settled into something much simpler: friendship.

The renewed attention began after Jaylerr playfully commented on one of Thanaerng's Instagram posts, sending fans into detective mode almost instantly. Every emoji, every reply and every interaction suddenly became "evidence" for those convinced the long-time couple were secretly finding their way back to each other.

As it turns out, the pair were simply behaving like two people who have managed to move on without turning life into a dramatic television series.

Speaking to reporters after attending the same event, Thanaerng explained that seeing Jaylerr has become completely normal because they continue to work in the same industry and share many mutual friends.

"We're still in the same group of friends, so we naturally meet quite often," she said. "Sometimes it's because of work, sometimes it's because we're with the same people. Everything feels very normal."

She revealed that they had even bumped into each other backstage before the event officially started.

"We met before going on stage, chatted while getting ready for hair and make-up, and everything was relaxed," she said. "There wasn't any awkwardness. We spoke like friends do."

Rather than creating uncomfortable distance, Thanaerng said both of them have chosen to treat each other with kindness and respect after ending their romantic relationship.

"We don't hate each other. There's no anger between us," she explained. "We've known each other for a long time, so talking naturally isn't strange at all."

However, she also had one gentle request for everyone following their story.

"I understand why people still support us," she said. "But I hope everyone doesn't place too many expectations on every interaction we have because that can create unnecessary pressure for both of us."

Meanwhile, Jaylerr also spoke candidly about life after the break-up, admitting that completely disconnecting emotionally is easier said than done after sharing so many years together.

"My mental state is good now," he said. "Of course, after spending such a long time together, there are still moments when I miss her. I think that's perfectly normal."

He also laughed off the Instagram comment that reignited reunion rumours.

"It was just friendly teasing," Jaylerr explained. "We're friends now. We still wish each other well, and that's honestly all there is to it."

Although neither star discussed the exact reasons behind their decision to end their relationship, both made it clear there was no dramatic fallout behind the scenes.

Instead, their interviews painted the picture of two mature adults who accepted that their romantic journey had ended while choosing not to lose the friendship they had built over many years.

For Thanaerng, life has also become refreshingly quiet away from the spotlight. When asked whether she is ready to fall in love again, she admitted she has not closed her heart.

"I'm open to love," she said. "I'm just not someone who likes sharing every detail of my personal life."

These days, she finds happiness in much simpler routines.

"I enjoy staying at home with my cats, spending time with my family and close friends. That's the kind of life I'm happiest living."

Fans, unsurprisingly, have been split over the interviews. Some praised both actors for handling the end of a long-term relationship with maturity, saying it was refreshing to see exes choosing respect instead of awkward avoidance.

Others admitted they were secretly disappointed that the pair were not hinting at a romantic reunion after all, despite their undeniably comfortable chemistry.

Of course, hopeful supporters are not giving up that easily. Many joked that every shared stage appearance, every backstage conversation and every playful social media comment would probably continue to fuel fresh rumours. The internet, after all, has never met a friendly ex-couple it didn't immediately try to reunite.

For now, Thanaerng Kanyawee and Jaylerr Kritsanapoom seem perfectly content writing a different kind of love story—one built on mutual respect, shared friendships and genuine goodwill rather than romance.

Whether that chapter ever changes again remains anyone's guess, but both stars appear focused on moving forward at their own pace. What do you think? Can former couples really become close friends, or are fans right to keep hoping this story isn't over just yet?
