Thai BL fans finally have another major title to circle on the calendar. Nour (นูร์) has confirmed its premiere date, and anticipation has only grown after fresh details revealed a gripping blend of mystery, supernatural fantasy, crime investigation and romance. Produced as a WeTV Original by Tailai Entertainment, the 2026 series is already generating plenty of discussion thanks to its intriguing storyline, striking cast line-up and a partnership that promises far more than the usual sweet romance. It seems someone looked at a police investigation, ghostly mysteries and slow-burn chemistry and thought, "Why not throw them all into one drama?" Surprisingly, it works on paper.
The upcoming Thai BL series is directed and written by Boss Wasakorn Khumklaowiriya, with the story unfolding across an expected 10 to 12 episodes. Nour is officially scheduled to premiere on 25 August 2026, giving viewers a supernatural mystery where every answer seems to create three new questions.
The story takes place in a city overshadowed by a disturbing wave of unexplained arson attacks. Rookie police officer James, played by Boss Patthakarn, is determined to uncover the truth behind the mysterious fires.
His investigation leads him to Captain Ken, portrayed by Tongtong Kitsakorn Kanogtorn, a military officer whose connection to the incidents appears far deeper than he is willing to admit.
At the same time, forensic doctor Jirat, played by Toey Pongsakorn Mettarikanon, and his trusted assistant Chita, portrayed by Phoom Chawonwat Thongyoo, begin examining evidence that points towards something far stranger than ordinary crime.

As clues emerge, the four men become linked through hidden secrets connecting the victims, the fires and an unsettling mystery where the boundary between life and death becomes increasingly blurred.
Rather than focusing solely on supernatural events, Nour promises emotional storytelling built around trust, sacrifice and relationships forged under extraordinary circumstances.
The investigation serves as the engine of the plot, while the evolving connections between the central characters gradually become its emotional heart. It is exactly the sort of drama where viewers may arrive for the mystery but stay because everyone suddenly starts looking at each other with suspiciously meaningful eye contact.
The main cast brings together familiar names and several exciting new leading pairings. Boss Patthakarn stars as determined police officer James, while Tongtong Kitsakorn Kanogtorn takes on the role of the enigmatic Captain Ken.
Toey Pongsakorn Mettarikanon appears as forensic doctor Jirat, with Phoom Chawonwat Thongyoo portraying his loyal assistant Chita. Supporting the main ensemble are Peanut Peeranat Veeranipitkul as Peter, Namnung Van De Ven as Pear, and Little Siravit Imsee as Leng, adding further layers to the mystery surrounding the city.

One of the biggest talking points surrounding the production is that Tongtong Kitsakorn Kanogtorn and Toey Pongsakorn Mettarikanon take on leading Boys' Love roles for the first time.
Combined with Boss Patthakarn and Phoom Chawonwat Thongyoo, the series introduces fresh chemistry that has already attracted considerable attention through promotional videos and behind-the-scenes clips shared across social media.
Although the production has remained careful not to reveal major plot twists, the lead cast have shared their excitement about the project. Boss Patthakarn said the series offers "a mystery that keeps getting bigger while allowing every character to grow emotionally," adding that he hopes audiences enjoy following James' journey from determined rookie to someone forced to question everything he believes.
Tongtong Kitsakorn Kanogtorn described Captain Ken as "a character carrying many secrets," teasing that viewers will gradually understand why he keeps everyone at arm's length.

Meanwhile, Toey Pongsakorn Mettarikanon explained that Jirat approaches every mystery through science, only to find himself facing events that challenge logic itself. Phoom Chawonwat Thongyoo added that Chita brings warmth and humanity into an increasingly dark investigation, encouraging viewers to pay attention to the relationships developing alongside the criminal case.
The project officially moved into production following its blessing ceremony on 3 April 2026 at Union Mall in Bangkok, attended by director Boss Wasakorn Khumklaowiriya, executives from WeTV, production staff and the principal cast.
Since then, promotional material has steadily built excitement, with many fans praising the cinematic visuals and the darker tone compared with more traditional campus-based BL dramas.
International viewers will also have a straightforward way to follow the series. Nour will premiere exclusively on WeTV from 25 August 2026, where international fans are expected to be able to stream episodes with English subtitles in supported regions.
Additional language subtitle options may also become available depending on local availability. As for wider international distribution, no further streaming platforms have been confirmed yet, although more announcements regarding overseas availability are expected closer to the premiere.
Viewers can expect a drama that blends crime investigation, supernatural suspense and emotional romance without allowing one element to completely overshadow the others.
The series appears determined to keep audiences guessing through mysterious fires, hidden identities and long-buried secrets, while still making room for heartfelt relationships and surprisingly light moments between the leads.
A little humour sprinkled into a city haunted by unexplained fires might sound unusual, but perhaps that is exactly what keeps everyone from checking every smoke alarm in sight.
Fan reactions have been enthusiastic, although opinions naturally differ. Many viewers are excited to see a darker BL series stepping away from university settings in favour of crime investigations and fantasy storytelling.
Others have been especially eager to watch the fresh pairings of Boss Patthakarn, Tongtong Kitsakorn Kanogtorn, Toey Pongsakorn Mettarikanon and Phoom Chawonwat Thongyoo, believing the chemistry shown during promotional appearances already looks promising. Some fans are even predicting Nour could become one of WeTV's standout Thai BL releases of 2026 if the mystery proves as compelling as the trailers suggest.
With its confirmed release date, intriguing supernatural mystery and talented ensemble cast, Nour is shaping up to be one of the year's most closely watched Thai BL dramas.
Whether you are here for the investigations, the romance, the fantasy or simply to see who keeps setting everything on fire, this series looks ready to deliver something refreshingly different. Are you planning to watch Nour on premiere day, and which character has already caught your attention?
