In a statement released on 24 June, CHANGE2561 confirmed that Lookmhee and Sonya will be working abroad between 26 and 28 June, making it impossible for them to return in time to vote when Bangkok residents head to the polls on 28 June.

A joint statement released through CHANGE2561 read: "Lookmhee Punyapat Wangpongsathaporn and Sonya Saranphat Pedersen will be travelling overseas for work between 26 and 28 June 2026, making them unable to take part in the Bangkok Governor election on 28 June.
The overseas work schedule was arranged before the official election date was announced, and both artists have already notified the Election Commission of Thailand through the proper legal channels regarding their inability to vote." The statement was issued to clarify the situation publicly and prevent any misunderstanding surrounding the actresses' absence.
