The criminals spend so much time trying to outsmart one another that they effectively defeat themselves.
Yet the film's real conclusion is not about defeating villains. It is about acceptance. Throughout the movie, Chung Sik struggles with the reality that Si Nae has moved on.
He still cares deeply for her, but he slowly realises that protecting someone does not automatically mean possessing them.
Meanwhile, Min Seok proves he is far more capable than Chung Sik initially assumed. The younger husband may not be a detective or action hero, but his loyalty and courage repeatedly save the day.

It is a surprisingly sincere message hidden beneath layers of explosions, arguments and wildly exaggerated comedy. Underneath the slapstick humour, the film explores masculinity from two different generations.
