Taiwanese rapper E.SO finally got the wedding celebration he had been waiting years for, swapping an awards stage for a beachfront ceremony as he and his wife Jennifer held their long-awaited wedding reception in Bali on 29 June. Already legally married since 2022, the couple gathered family, close friends and their two daughters to celebrate the occasion they had originally planned before the pandemic forced everything onto pause. Sometimes the best encore simply arrives a little later.
The reception took place at the luxurious AYANA Resort Bali, a destination that carries special meaning for the couple as the place where their love story first blossomed. Against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean and a glowing sunset, E.SO, also known as Shou Zi, looked sharp in a classic black tuxedo while Jennifer wore an elegant white wedding gown.
The pair exchanged heartfelt vows with hands tightly clasped, smiling through every moment as guests watched one of the most emotional chapters of their journey unfold.
The romance did not stop at the ceremony. Wedding photographs shared afterwards captured the newlyweds strolling hand in hand along the beach, with Jennifer later changing into a fitted lace mermaid-style gown while E.SO opted for a relaxed white shirt and beige trousers.
The sunset, ocean breeze and golden skies did most of the decorating. Bali clearly understood the assignment. Sharing his happiness online, E.SO posted two wedding photos alongside the simple caption, "Yay! We're married!"
The words were short, but after waiting four years to finally celebrate with loved ones, fans said they carried far more emotion than a lengthy speech ever could.
Through his management company, E.SO explained that the couple had always planned to hold a proper wedding after officially registering their marriage in 2022, but those plans were postponed because of the pandemic.
Now, with a gap in his concert schedule, the timing finally felt right. He said he was delighted to invite family and close friends to Bali for what he described as a fun, warm and unforgettable celebration, adding that completing such an important milestone in life filled him with happiness.
He also thanked everyone who had continued sending their love and congratulations throughout the years. Although Jennifer has largely stayed away from the public spotlight, those close to the couple described the ceremony as deeply personal rather than extravagant.
The decision to return to Bali reflected more than a beautiful location; it was a tribute to where many of their happiest memories together began.
Guests said the atmosphere focused on family, gratitude and new beginnings instead of celebrity glamour, proving that sometimes the best luxury is simply having everyone you love in one place.
Once the formal ceremony ended, the mood shifted into celebration as the newlyweds shared their first dance in front of cheering guests.
Laughter replaced nerves, children ran around the venue, and friends toasted the couple late into the evening. It was less about putting on a perfect show and more about finally enjoying the day they had waited years to experience.
Among those attending were Chang Chen-yue (A-Yue), fellow MJ116 members Kenzy and MUTA, who all travelled to Bali to celebrate alongside the couple.
According to the management company, rapper MC HotDog could not attend because of work commitments but had already sent his congratulations in advance, making sure the newlyweds still felt his support despite the distance.
The timing of the wedding also caught plenty of attention online because it came just one day after the 37th Golden Melody Awards.
Fans had spent days wondering why E.SO was absent from one of Mandopop's biggest nights, only to discover he had been preparing for something arguably even more important. Many joked that while everyone else was collecting trophies, he was collecting marriage memories by the beach instead.
Across social media, reactions were overwhelmingly positive. Many fans called the wedding beautifully understated and praised the couple for choosing to celebrate on their own schedule rather than rushing because of public expectations.
Others loved seeing their two daughters included in the occasion, saying it made the ceremony feel even more meaningful. Some also admitted they laughed at E.SO's cheerful "Yay! We're married!" caption, joking that after already being legally married for four years, he had simply unlocked the deluxe edition of married life.
For many supporters, the delayed celebration became a reminder that important milestones do not lose their meaning simply because they happen later than planned.
If anything, waiting seemed to make this wedding feel even more special. What are your thoughts on E.SO and Jennifer's Bali celebration? Was it one of the most beautiful celebrity weddings of the year, or would you have chosen a completely different destination?
