Shanghai turned into the centre of the Chinese music world on 29 June as the 33rd ERC Chinese Top Ten Awards (第33届东方风云榜官宣) filled the Mercedes-Benz Cultural Center with some of the industry's biggest names. Hosted by Shanghai Media Group, the annual ceremony celebrated chart-topping hits, standout albums and unforgettable live performances, while thousands of fans packed the venue and millions more followed online. By the end of the night, one thing became clear: there were plenty of trophies to go around, but Liu Yuning walked away looking like he had accidentally discovered the awards' fast lane.
The prestigious ceremony welcomed more than 25 artists and groups spanning established stars, rising idols and acclaimed singer-songwriters. The event balanced experience with fresh talent, proving that Chinese music continues to evolve while keeping familiar favourites firmly in the spotlight. World, a track praised for combining heartfelt storytelling with uplifting optimism.
The individual artist awards were equally competitive. Silence Wang collected Singer of the Year, while Liu Yuning secured Best Male Singer, adding another major trophy to an already impressive career.
Zhang Bichen received Best Female Singer, with Huang Zihongfan and Liu Yuxin taking home the Most Popular Male and Most Popular Female Singer awards respectively.
Album and concert honours recognised artists who delivered beyond the recording studio. Shan Yichun's Lil Sis won Best Album, while Liu Yuning's 2025 Tour earned Best Concert.

Sha Yiting EL was named Most Popular Rap Artist, Jude received Best Singer-Songwriter, Huang Yubo won Best Stage Performance, while Bo Yuan continued his reputation as one of the strongest live entertainers after taking Best Singing and Dancing Artist.
The ceremony also shone a spotlight on emerging names. Shao Ziheng won Best New Artist, Pu Yixing collected New Singer of the Year, while Yu Yan received Best New Female Singer.
Wang Heye was honoured as Outstanding Singer of the Year, Zhang Xincheng earned All-Round Singer of the Year, Liu Yu secured Influential Singer of the Year, and Zhang Junhao (SHUN) received the Pioneer Singer of the Year award.
Further honours recognised achievements across the wider music industry. Mu Zhicheng became Popular Artist of the Year, Timmy Xu received Fashion Artist of the Year, while TF_ING Music Label was recognised as the Most Influential Music Label.
WayV celebrated another successful year after winning Most Popular Group, while folk duo The Landlord's Cat claimed Original Musician of the Year.
Album recognition continued with Silence Wang's 2025 Tour "100,000 Volts 2.0" winning Concert of the Year, Wang Heye's Banquet taking Album of the Year, Zhang Junhao (SHUN) receiving the Media Recommended Album award for SHUN@PROLOGUE, while Tan Xuan and Feng Tang's As a Flower, I Have Never Failed earned the Media Recommended Creative Album prize.
Artists from Hong Kong and Taiwan also enjoyed a successful evening. Yan Renzhong won Most Popular Male Singer, Jolin Tsai secured Most Popular Female Singer, while Li Hao received Most Talented Singer.
Tia Ray was honoured as Asia Quality Singer, recognising her influence across the region. Online voting once again proved that fan support remains one of the loudest voices in the industry.
Liu Yuning dominated digital categories by winning Online Influential Male Singer and Weibo Users' Favourite Singer, while Liu Yuxin claimed Online Influential Female Singer. It was another reminder that online fandoms never seem to take a day off, especially when voting buttons are involved.
The evening also delivered memorable performances. Liu Yuning returned for his seventh consecutive ERC appearance and closed the ceremony with a live performance of Borrow a Little Light in Ordinary Days.
Silence Wang premiered new material, Zhang Bichen filled the venue with an emotional performance of Searching for You Among Thousands, while WayV, TF_ING, Liu Yu, Bo Yuan, Tia Ray, Sha Yiting EL, Timmy Xu and many more kept the audience on its feet throughout the night.
