The KAZZ Awards 2026 did not arrive quietly. Thailand’s entertainment industry basically gathered at BITEC Bangna on 14 May and decided to turn the venue into a giant fandom battlefield filled with screaming supporters, polished red carpet fashion and enough viral moments to keep social media busy for the next several weeks. This year’s ceremony carried extra weight as the event celebrated its 20th anniversary, proving that KAZZ Magazine still knows exactly how to keep the Thai entertainment scene talking.

One thing became obvious early in the night: fan power remains absolutely terrifying. Voting categories exploded online before the ceremony even started, and by the time winners were announced, several fandoms were already acting like their favourite stars had just won the World Cup.

In music, Gong Huayrai took home Hottest Song of The Year for Dok Kra-chiao Ban, a track that quietly evolved into one of Thailand’s biggest viral hits over the past year. The song’s success reflected how Thai audiences continue embracing emotionally grounded music rather than purely manufactured trends.

Meanwhile, rising boy group DICE secured Rising Star of The Year, confirming what fans have been saying for months: the group’s momentum is no longer “upcoming” territory. They are already in the middle of the conversation whether rival fandoms like it or not.

The online creator space also had its moment. One Playground won The Best Social Media Channel, while Mosmudjook claimed The Best Content Creator award after dominating digital platforms with content that somehow manages to feel chaotic and polished at the same time.

Internet fame may still confuse older generations, but the KAZZ Awards clearly understand where audience attention lives now — and spoiler alert, it is no longer traditional television alone.

The acting categories generated some of the loudest reactions of the night. Mew Suppasit earned The Best Actor Of The Year, while Freen Sarocha secured The Best Actress Of The Year

The venue erupted especially loudly for Freen, whose year has been filled with commercial success, constant trending topics and enough public appearances to make everyone wonder if she even sleeps anymore.

That momentum continued when Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong won Couple Of The Year, further cementing their place as one of Thailand’s most commercially powerful on-screen pairings.

Online reactions were predictably dramatic. Some fans celebrated like national history had been rewritten, while others jokingly claimed the category should simply be renamed in advance every year to save time.

Engfa Waraha received the Superstar Award, reinforcing her crossover dominance between beauty pageants, entertainment and mainstream celebrity culture.

Meanwhile, Daou Pittaya won Popular Artist Award, continuing his streak as one of Thailand’s most talked-about performers both online and offline.

The younger generation categories sparked especially intense fan reactions. Sonya Saranphat, alongside Emi Thasorn, Lookmhee Punyapat, Bonnie Pattraphus and Michelle Behrmann, won Youth Choice of The Year (Female)

During her speech, Sonya thanked supporters for “staying beside us even when we are still learning and growing every day,” before joking that fans probably worked harder voting than some people work at full-time jobs. The crowd immediately exploded in cheers because honestly, she was not entirely wrong.

On the male side, Namping Napatsakorn, Keng Harit, Mark Jiruntanin, FirstOne Wannakorn and Santa Pongsapak claimed Youth Choice of The Year (Male). Namping later doubled his success by winning Popular Male Teenage Award, further proving his rapidly growing influence among younger viewers.

Music and band culture also remained a major focus throughout the ceremony. Little John won Best Band of The Year, while newcomer group VVV secured the Rookie Artist Award

At the same time, DEXX took home Trending Artist Award, reflecting how quickly audience tastes can shift once TikTok edits and fan clips start circulating for approximately six consecutive business months.

Drama and series categories arguably created the biggest online debates of the night. Searching for the Love You Forgot won Drama Award of The Year, while The Next Prince secured the highly discussed Series Of The Year trophy.

Fans flooded social media immediately afterwards, with many praising the production quality and chemistry of the cast, while others entered the annual tradition of writing essays longer than university dissertations explaining why their personal favourites were robbed.

Meanwhile, Me and Thee The Series won Most Trending On Social Media, proving once again that online visibility has become nearly as important as ratings.

Khemjira The Series also grabbed Viral On Social Media, a category that basically measures which fandom managed to dominate everyone’s timeline whether they asked for it or not.

The film and television categories added another layer to the night’s victories. THE STAIN won Hottest Film Award, while Running Man Thailand claimed Hottest TV Program after continuing to attract audiences with chaotic humour and celebrity chemistry.

Honestly, half the programme’s success comes from viewers enjoying famous people embarrassing themselves on national television, and that formula still works frighteningly well.

Several stars also shared spotlight honours throughout the evening. Pooh Krittin and Pavel Naret won Outstanding Actor Of The Year, while Ginny Natnicha, Jayna Angelina and Charlotte Austin received Outstanding Actress Of The Year

Elsewhere, Junior Panachai and Perth Tanapon earned Shining Star Of The Year, while Enjoy Thidarut and Tle Matimun picked up rising star honours in their respective categories.

The massive People Of The Year category included names such as Film Rachanun, Bible Wichapas, Phuwin Tangsakyuen, Jes Jespipat, Pond Naravit, Ink Waruntorn, Jeff Satur, Nine Naphat, Faye Peraya and Oat Pramote — essentially a reminder that Thailand’s entertainment industry currently has enough recognisable stars to overwhelm everyone’s social media feeds simultaneously.

One unexpectedly talked-about moment came from the Spotlight Icon Of The Year award for GMMTV Fandom Character, which immediately triggered online memes.

Fans joked that fictional fandom mascots now have stronger brand recognition than some real celebrities, which, looking at the current state of entertainment marketing, might not even be sarcasm anymore.

Overall, the KAZZ Awards 2026 reflected how Thai entertainment continues expanding far beyond traditional television fame. Music streaming, social media trends, fandom culture and online engagement now shape celebrity influence just as heavily as acting projects or chart success.

Some viewers praised the ceremony for recognising younger digital audiences, while others argued certain categories felt more like popularity wars than industry awards. Still, whether people agreed with every result or not, one thing is certain: everybody was talking about it.

And honestly, that may be the real victory. Which winner surprised you most this year? Was The Next Prince the right choice for Series Of The Year? Did your favourite artist finally get the recognition they deserved, or are fans already preparing essays, edits and emotionally charged hashtags for next year’s ceremony?
