Hong Kong’s ever-polished screen pair Tavia Yeung Sin-yiu and Him Law have done what celebrity parents do best—turn a child’s birthday into a softly glamorous, internet-approved moment.

Their daughter Hera, affectionately dubbed “Little Pearl”, marked her sixth birthday with a Frozen-themed celebration that looked less like a party and more like a carefully curated set piece. Still, it’s the warmth behind it—not the balloons—that’s doing the heavy lifting online.

Tavia, now 46, shared a series of family photos alongside a message that leaned poetic without trying too hard. Six, she wrote, is “the beginning of a fairy tale”—a line that could easily tip into cliché but somehow lands, helped by the sincerity of a mum clearly smitten with her daughter.

She wished Hera a life filled with “stars in her eyes” and “mountains and seas in her heart”, adding that her presence has made ordinary days “shine”. It’s the kind of caption that feels tailor-made for reposts—and naturally, it’s been doing the rounds.

The party itself committed fully to the Frozen aesthetic, with blue-and-white balloons and snowflake décor recreating the icy fantasy world.

Hera, centre stage, turned up in a sparkling Elsa dress complete with a tiny crown—subtlety was not invited, and frankly, no one expected it to be.

Observers were quick to note her striking features, with more than a few comments pointing out she’s inherited her mother’s large, expressive eyes and that signature soft smile.

One family friend even joked she looks “like AI”, which says more about modern beauty standards than the child, but the internet ran with it anyway.

Among the guests were actor friends including Tony Hung and Inez Leong, who brought their daughters along for the celebrations. The real scene-stealer, though, was a cheeky moment involving the couple’s younger son Eden.

In one snapshot, the toddler appeared to casually sling an arm around Tony’s daughter—prompting Tony to jokingly intercept with mock seriousness.

His caption, roughly translating to “the little guy has to get past me first”, gave the whole exchange a sitcom edge that fans lapped up.

Online reactions have been predictably mixed in tone but consistent in attention. Some fans were all in on the wholesome family energy, praising the couple for keeping things grounded despite the gloss.

Others zeroed in on the children’s looks, with threads dissecting which parent each feature came from—as if genetics were a competitive sport. A smaller but louder corner rolled their eyes at the extravagance, questioning whether six-year-olds need this level of production. The answer, judging by engagement numbers, is apparently yes.

For context, Tavia Yeung and Him Law married in 2016, welcoming Hera in 2020 and their son Eden a year later.

They’ve kept their family life relatively low-key, which makes moments like this feel more deliberate—shared, but not overexposed. It’s a careful balance, and one they seem to manage with quiet precision.

So, what do you reckon—genuinely heartwarming or just another well-lit moment designed for the timeline?
