SNH48 GROUP officially locks in their first comeback of 2026, unveiling a brand-new original EP titled Forever Young and launching a dedicated project page to kick-start the countdown. This marks the group’s 41st official music release and sets the tone for a vibrant, youth-focused start to the new year.

Scheduled for March 2026, Forever Young carries the slogan “Unlimited Youth”, signalling a fresh burst of energy after the group’s busy 2025. The title track, “Forever Young”, will drop first on 11 March 2026, while the full EP arrives on 14 March 2026, aligning neatly with White Day celebrations.

The EP features three tracks — “Forever Young”, “Summer Memory”, and “Silent Harmony” — each built around themes of boundless youth, creativity, and emotional growth.

Rather than sticking to a single sound, the project promises varied musical colours, highlighting different sides of the members’ vocals and performance styles.

Internally, this release is also seen as a reflection on SNH48 GROUP’s journey throughout 2025, while confidently setting their sights on what’s next. The concept reinforces a simple message: youth isn’t limited by age, and passion doesn’t fade — it evolves.

Senbatsu Line-up Raises Expectations

The EP’s senbatsu line-up is selected from the Top 16 MVPs of SNH48 GROUP’s 2025 Theatre rankings, bringing together some of the group’s most consistent performers.

The confirmed members are Tian Shuli, Zhang Qiongyu, Han Jiale, Zhao Tianyang, Yang Yuanyuan, Zhu Ruiyuan, Yang Bingyi, He Xinman, Jiang Shuting, Zheng Zhaoxuan, Bai Xinyu, Xu Chuwen, You Miao, Wang Yuchen, Wang Yilin, and Lei Yuxiao.

With this line-up alone, fan expectations are already climbing, especially for stage presence and performance cohesion.

Online reactions have been mixed in tone but largely positive. Many fans welcomed the “Unlimited Youth” concept, saying it feels fitting for a first comeback of the year.

Others are particularly curious about “Silent Harmony”, which netizens speculate could lean into a softer, emotional sound compared to the brighter title track.

Some long-time supporters are also viewing Forever Young as a symbolic reset — a project that bridges SNH48 GROUP’s past growth with a more confident future. A few discussions have already popped up debating which member might dominate the era, especially among the theatre MVPs.

With release dates now confirmed and the concept firmly in place, Forever Young is shaping up to be more than just another EP — it’s a statement for 2026. Whether it delivers nostalgia, freshness, or both will soon be revealed.

What are your thoughts on SNH48 GROUP’s senbatsu choice and the youthful direction of Forever Young? Which track are you most excited to hear first?
