Huang Zitao sparked concern after experiencing breathing discomfort while filming a variety show water challenge on 28 February 2026, prompting the production team to immediately pause recording to prioritise his safety.
The incident happened during a hot spring segment of the variety programme Wander Together. According to on-site accounts, Huang Zitao had just completed a water-based game when he suddenly felt unwell. He was seen breathing heavily, his face turning pale, and openly telling the crew that he was “having trouble breathing” and that his head felt extremely uncomfortable.
The situation escalated quickly enough for the production team to stop filming on the spot.
Witnesses said the singer-actor bent forward while holding his waist, breathing with visible difficulty, as staff rushed to assist him.
