Hong Kong actor Benny Chan and his wife Jiang Lisha are reportedly still in Abu Dhabi after sharing a security alert linked to an explosion scare in the United Arab Emirates. The situation surfaced after Jiang posted screenshots of an emergency warning on social media, confirming they were in the city when the alert was issued.

The post quickly spread online, sparking concern among fans across Hong Kong, Mainland China and Southeast Asia. At the time of writing, no official statement has been issued by their representatives, but Jiang’s update suggests the couple are safe despite ongoing uncertainty in the region.

According to Jiang’s post, she received a mobile warning advising residents and visitors to seek shelter indoors, stay away from windows and wait for further instructions.

She described it as the second time in her life receiving such an alert, adding that what was meant to be a relaxed holiday suddenly turned tense.

The couple had travelled to the Middle East for a family break. Just weeks earlier, they had shared cheerful moments from a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland.

The abrupt shift from theme park snapshots to emergency notifications stunned followers who have long seen them as one of the more openly family-oriented celebrity couples.

Benny Chan, 56, rose to fame through classic television dramas including Journey to the West and the Living Buddha Ji Gong series. He has been married to Jiang Lisha for 15 years, and the couple share four children.

Over the years, they have regularly updated fans with glimpses of their home life, making this latest development feel personal for many supporters.

In her message, Jiang Lisha reflected on how being in a region facing instability made her value peace more deeply.

She spoke about feeling grateful as a Chinese citizen and expressed pride in her country’s stability and commitment to peace. That portion of her statement quickly became a major talking point online.

Some netizens focused purely on safety, urging the couple to leave the area as soon as possible and expressing relief that no injuries were reported. Others praised Jiang’s words about appreciating peace, calling her message heartfelt and sincere.

However, a separate group debated the tone of her reflections, with some saying that discussions of national pride during a tense moment may divide opinions.

On Weibo and other platforms, comment sections filled with both supportive messages and cautious critique.

Adding to public anxiety, Jiang Lisha reportedly shared contact details for overseas assistance but mentioned she had difficulty getting through. That detail alarmed followers further, with many questioning the availability of support channels during emergencies.

At present, there are no confirmed reports of harm involving the couple. Airport disruptions and local security advisories have been circulating, though full details remain limited. For now, fans are closely watching their social feeds for reassurance.
