Rosy Zhao Lusi has officially crossed 180 billion views on Douyin, while skincare brand Pechoin saw a staggering 98% sales surge shortly after announcing her as ambassador. At just 27 years old, she is now the fastest post-95 actress to reach this traffic milestone, reinforcing her position as one of the most bankable young stars in Chinese entertainment.

Over the past year, Zhao Lusi hasn’t just been acting in hit dramas — she has quietly rebuilt her commercial empire. The numbers speak loudly. Within less than a month of her Pechoin endorsement announcement, the brand’s sales skyrocketed to 376 million yuan (around 52–54 million USD)

In just three days alone, sales reportedly broke past 48 million yuan, signalling immediate consumer response. That level of conversion power places her firmly at the top of the post-95 generation in terms of commercial value.

On Douyin, her momentum is just as impressive. Content under Zhao Lusi’s tag has now surpassed 180 billion cumulative views, ranking her fifth among all Chinese celebrities

Only Xiao Zhan, Zhao Liying, Jay Chou, and Yang Zi currently stand ahead of her in total traffic. Among female stars, she sits comfortably in the top tier, and within her age group, she is leading the pack.

What makes this milestone even more striking is the context behind it. Last year was far from smooth. During the filming of the drama Almost Lover, reports of script issues and heavy workload led to production complications, and the project was eventually disbanded. 

At the same time, contract tensions with her former agency Galaxy Cool Entertainment — reportedly tied to a long-term agreement extending to 2030 — sparked industry speculation about whether her prime years could be limited by internal disputes.

Instead of fading out, Zhao Lusi recalibrated.

She made the bold move of deleting her Weibo account, which previously had over 30 million followers. 

According to her own explanation, the decision was made to stop the circulation of deliberately spread negative rumours designed to push her into unwanted trending topics. 

While that move reduced her exposure temporarily, it effectively cleaned up ongoing noise around her name and helped reset her public image. Many industry observers later described it as a calculated and surprisingly strategic decision.

Her true turning point came with the success of Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼), which not only restored her visibility but also strengthened her market credibility.

Shortly after signing with new management HuJing Entertainment, endorsements began lining up quickly, with Pechoin becoming the standout case study of her renewed commercial strength.

Industry analysts point out that Zhao Lusi represents a new model of young celebrity influence — one that merges drama success, brand conversion, and social media traffic into a unified commercial ecosystem. She isn’t just trending; she is converting visibility into measurable revenue.

Fans have reacted with pride, calling her achievements “proof that talent and resilience win in the long run.” 

Many praised her strategic comeback, highlighting how she chose recovery and long-term positioning over chaotic publicity. Supporters also emphasised that reaching 180 billion views while reducing workload for health recovery makes the achievement even more meaningful.

Netizens, however, show mixed reactions. Some question whether traffic numbers truly reflect sustained popularity, arguing that algorithm exposure plays a role. Others point out that endorsement sales spikes often benefit from marketing cycles. 

Still, even sceptics admit that a 98% increase within a month is difficult to ignore.
