Wang Xiaofei and Mandy Ma Xiaomei have officially welcomed their first child together, with Zhang Lan confirming the happy news during a live broadcast on 24 February.
The baby arrived safely on the seventh day of Chinese New Year, a date widely seen as lucky, and the family did not hold back their joy. With this birth, Wang Xiaofei steps into a new chapter — now a father of three — while his mother, Zhang Lan, proudly declared, “I’m a grandma again!”
According to Zhang Lan, Mandy gave birth on 23 February, the seventh day of the Lunar New Year. Smiling throughout her livestream, she described the moment as a blessing chosen by heaven itself.
She revealed that the baby — affectionately called “Xiao Ma Bao” — cried loudly at birth and has “fair, soft skin” that immediately won her heart. The family has yet to officially announce the baby’s name or gender to the public, but insiders confirm that a formal name had already been prepared long before the due date.
Netizens, meanwhile, were quick to jump in with their own nickname. Because the baby was born on the seventh day of CNY, many began calling the newborn “Xiao Qi Bao” (Little Seventh Treasure) — a sweet nod to both timing and tradition.

Zhang Lan did not hold back when speaking about her daughter-in-law. She described Mandy as petite and seemingly delicate, admitting she felt emotional watching her go through childbirth.
“Her pregnancy was not easy,” Zhang Lan shared. “For ten months, she carried everything quietly. Not once did she complain.”
She added that Mandy continued working throughout her pregnancy, hosting livestreams and managing her responsibilities while also caring for Wang Xiaofei’s children from his previous marriage. According to Zhang Lan, “This kind of daughter-in-law feels like a gift from heaven. I treat her like my own.”
Mandy reportedly gained just seven kilograms during pregnancy, reaching 51kg before delivery, and handled arrangements for postnatal care herself — including confinement meals and recovery plans. Zhang Lan described her as independent, calm and remarkably resilient.
Wang Xiaofei had flown to Taiwan ahead of the birth to accompany Mandy Ma during the final days of pregnancy. Zhang Lan also travelled from Beijing before the New Year celebrations to be by her side.
Sources say the family spent the festive period together in Taipei. Wang Xiaofei was even spotted taking the children to Raohe Night Market, where one of them sweetly suggested buying sweet potato balls to bring back for Mandy while she rested.

After completing her postnatal recovery in Taipei, Mandy is expected to return to Beijing with the baby to begin a new chapter there.
Shortly after delivery, Mandy shared photos showing her looking fresh and in good spirits. Observers noted that “Xiao Ma Bao” reportedly resembles Wang Xiaofei, with long, slender eyes and rounded cheeks.
Zhang Lan, clearly emotional, reflected on how the family has faced various challenges in recent years but feels closer than ever now. “After the storms, we hold each other tighter,” she said during the livestream.
Some fans congratulated the couple, calling the baby’s CNY birth “perfect timing” and praising Mandy’s strength during pregnancy. Supporters also highlighted how Wang Xiaofei made the effort to travel and stay present during the delivery period.
