| The Masked Hearts: Thai BL Adapted From Nai Khon Novel – Story, Characters and Streaming Info (Photo: Facebook) |
The Masked Hearts (นายโขน) is officially gearing up for its 2026 premiere, and Thai BL fans already have it locked on their watchlist. Blending historical romance, reincarnation tension, and traditional Thai performing arts, this eight-episode series is set to air on Amarin TV Network starting 21 February 2026, with replays available on the FINAL DRAFT CREATION YouTube channel. International viewers can expect English subtitles, making it accessible for global BL audiences from day one.
Produced by Final Draft Creation and directed by Trooper Arinchai Rattanavijit (Truper Ariyachai), The Masked Hearts isn’t your typical campus romance. It dives deep into Thailand’s classical masked dance drama, khon, while weaving in a cross-era love story that stretches back to the reign of King Rama VI.
The drama is adapted from the popular web novel “Nai Khon” (นายโขน) by NooDangzz (หนูแดงตัวน้อย), and it carries both youthful rivalry energy and layered emotional storytelling.
In the present day, we follow Sand, a high school student and passionate cosplayer obsessed with Thotsakan, the Demon King.
He sees tokusatsu-style heroism in khon and dreams of modernising his school’s khon club. Standing firmly in his way? Lucky, the club president, grandson of a National Artist in khon, and a fierce defender of tradition.
Their clash starts as pure tension — almost hatred at first sight. But there’s an unexplained pull between them that refuses to go away.
Because in a past life, during King Rama VI’s era, they were Saen, a commoner training in khon, and Khun Rak, a nobleman portraying Rama. Back then, their connection was a forbidden master-servant love. In this life, fate flips the script.
Two timelines. Two identities. One unfinished bond.

Online reactions have been mixed but mostly excited. Some BL fans are thrilled by the unique concept. Many say it’s refreshing to see a BL series rooted in Thai cultural heritage rather than the usual university setting. The combination of khon, historical romance, and reincarnation has sparked strong curiosity.
Others are cautiously optimistic. A few netizens wonder whether the heavy cultural theme might overshadow the romance. Some question if eight episodes will be enough to explore both timelines properly.
But overall, anticipation is building. The CP preview clips have already generated buzz, especially regarding Fone and Tar’s visual pairing and natural chemistry.
For fans who love tradition-meets-modern storytelling, emotional tension across lifetimes, and strong visual aesthetics, The Masked Hearts could easily become one of 2026’s standout Thai BL dramas.
Will it lean more into historical depth or contemporary romance? Will the rivalry feel believable? And can eight episodes truly do justice to two lifetimes of love?
Looks like we’ll find out very soon. Are you team tradition or team revolution? Drop your thoughts and let’s talk before the premiere hits.
