Takeuchi Ryoma (32) is back in the spotlight, but this time it’s not for a drama twist or a box office win. A fresh Smart FLASH tabloid report claims the popular actor is romantically involved with fellow actress Doi Shiori (33), following a series of late-night sightings, affectionate hugs, and repeated overnight visits at his Tokyo home — all after their intense on-screen partnership in Netflix’s 2025 dance film 10DANCE.
According to eyewitness accounts, the pair were spotted in early February in a quiet, upscale residential area of Tokyo. As dusk settled in, Doi Shiori reportedly stepped out of a taxi and hurried towards an apartment building where a tall man was waiting.
The two allegedly greeted each other with a warm hug that observers described as almost dance-like — a moment that instantly reminded fans of their close-contact ballroom scenes in 10DANCE.
Insiders quoted by the tabloid suggest that Takeuchi Ryoma personally went out to meet Doi Shiori, appearing eager and relaxed, as if welcoming someone familiar rather than a casual visitor.
What raised eyebrows further was the presence of Takeuchi’s siblings — his younger sister Honoka and singer brother Yuito — who reportedly entered the apartment together with the actress later that evening.

Industry sources claim the relationship, if true, is already “family-approved,” with Doi Shiori said to be on friendly terms with Takeuchi’s close relatives. Neither side has confirmed anything officially, but the repeated sightings have kept speculation firmly alive.
The two actors co-starred in 10DANCE, which premiered on Netflix on 18 December 2025 and quickly climbed into the global Top 10 non-English films during its first week. The movie drew attention not only for its competitive ballroom dance theme, but also for the surprisingly high-level dance performances from its cast.
Despite having no prior ballroom experience, Takeuchi Ryoma reportedly began training seven months before filming.
Once he reached partner-level practice, he is said to have chosen Doi Shiori for extra rehearsals outside official schedules.
Their shared athletic backgrounds — Takeuchi as a former football prodigy and Doi Shiori with 15 years of ballet training — reportedly helped build strong trust and physical understanding, something essential for such demanding choreography.
A staff member close to the production shared that during stressful moments on set, Doi Shiori often encouraged Takeuchi to “enjoy the process more,” acting as an emotional anchor during intense filming days.
Both actors are currently at career peaks. Takeuchi Ryoma remains one of Japan’s most in-demand leading men, following his viral hit role in TBS drama Jyaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo and his current mystery series Reunion: Silent Truth, which has sparked constant online theory battles.
Meanwhile, Doi Shiori continues to solidify her reputation as a serious actress.
After gaining nationwide recognition from NHK’s Wings of the Tiger, she has stayed busy with stage performances and an upcoming NHK spin-off drama where she takes centre stage as the lead.
Because of their packed schedules, sources say the couple — if indeed together — mostly spend time at Takeuchi’s home. He has also reportedly attended Doi Shiori’s theatre performances quietly, avoiding attention.

Valentine’s Chocolate and Late-Night Visits
Fuel was added to the rumour fire on Valentine’s Day, when Doi Shiori was allegedly seen stopping by a popular chocolate shop after a stage performance, patiently lining up before heading to Takeuchi’s residence.
Tabloid reporters also claim they’ve repeatedly confirmed her visiting his home late at night throughout February.
When approached directly on 27 February as she left Takeuchi’s apartment for work, Doi Shiori reportedly stayed silent. Asked whether 10DANCE brought them closer, she only smiled and replied, “Another time… slowly,” before leaving in a taxi — a response that did little to calm public curiosity.
Both agencies later responded with identical statements, saying the actors’ private lives are “left to the individuals,” neither confirming nor denying the relationship.
Online reactions have been split but lively. Many fans praised the pairing as “natural,” pointing out their shared discipline and mature energy. Others urged caution, reminding everyone that strong co-star chemistry doesn’t always equal romance. Still, plenty of netizens admitted the Valentine’s chocolate detail felt “a bit too real” to ignore.
Some also applauded the agencies’ calm response, calling it a respectful way to protect both actors’ careers without feeding unnecessary drama.
What do you think — is this simply a beautiful professional partnership, or the start of Japan’s next low-key power couple?
