| Palm Royale Season 2 Finale Recap: Who Survived, Who Fell, and What It All Meant (Photo: Apple TV+ |
The curtain has officially fallen on Palm Royale Season 2, and honestly? That finale left us buzzing, conflicted, amused, and slightly emotionally wrecked. The 10-episode second season on Apple TV+ doubled down on chaos, ambition, secrets, and very messy friendships, all wrapped in pastel outfits and Palm Beach-level pettiness.
Set in 1969, the series once again follows Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons as she claws her way through high society, only to learn that power, love, and loyalty rarely sit at the same table. Episode 10, titled “Maxine Does Something Good”, delivers a finale that feels crowded on purpose, because every character’s past finally demands payment.
The final episode opens with confusion and suspicion around Douglas’ health. What looked like an attempted poisoning turns out to be something far more personal: Douglas has a serious heart condition that explains years of secrecy.
The revelation doesn’t just shake Maxine emotionally; it confirms that Mitzi’s pregnancy isn’t what it claims to be. Lies that were convenient all season suddenly collapse in seconds.

Robert’s arc finally lands with clarity. He was never a villain, just a man surviving in a world that asked him to disappear politely. Norma’s words strip away any illusion of care she ever had for him.
Realising he was kept as an ornament rather than a partner, Robert walks away from Palm Royale entirely, choosing to reunite with his son instead. It’s one of the quietest scenes in the episode, and one of the most powerful.
Evelyn’s long game unravels fast. Her plan to secure Norma’s fortune by manipulating Maxine fails spectacularly. Once exposed, she loses Maxine, Eddie, and any moral high ground she thought she had.
By the end, Evelyn is alone in her mansion, clinging to money and bitterness, proving that ambition without loyalty is a very cold victory.
Mary discovers Jed was never in love; he was chasing her inheritance. What begins as a desperate attempt to protect herself spirals into chaos when Jed returns armed and dangerous.

The tension escalates until it explodes into the season’s most shocking moment.
Linda’s wild global detour ends in Switzerland, where peace briefly finds her. That calm shatters when Norma reveals the truth: Linda is her biological daughter.
The reveal reframes Linda’s entire journey this season, turning her rebellion and kindness into something deeply inherited. With Lotte’s unexpected intervention, Linda escapes yet again, choosing freedom over capture.
In the final act, Jed attacks Evelyn, blaming women for every failure in his life. Just as he’s about to kill her, a gunshot rings out. It’s Maxine.

The woman who spent two seasons chasing status finally acts purely to save someone else. In doing so, she also avenges her sister’s death. Jed is gone, and with him, one of Palm Royale’s ugliest truths.
At its core, Season 2 is about identity versus performance. Nearly every character has been acting a role to survive: wives, patrons, protectors, socialites. The finale strips those performances away.
Maxine’s final choice matters because it’s the first time she isn’t trying to gain access, approval, or power. She acts out of instinct and loyalty, not ambition.
Robert choosing family over safety, Linda choosing truth over comfort, and Evelyn losing everything she manipulated her way toward all reinforce the same idea: Palm Royale rewards appearances, but it punishes dishonesty eventually.

The ending isn’t about closure. It’s about consequence. And that’s why it works.
-
Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons – Still chaotic, but finally grounded by empathy and accountability
-
Robert Diaz – Walks away from protection and chooses authenticity
-
Douglas Dellacorte-Simmons – A tragic figure shaped by secrecy and fear
-
Evelyn Rollins – Wins nothing by trying to own everything
-
Linda Shaw / Agnes’ Daughter – Reclaims her past and future in one revelation
-
Mary Meredith Jones – Escapes manipulation but loses innocence
-
Jedebediah – Exposed as the true villain and removed permanently
Palm Royale Season 2 ends with chaos done right. Episode 10 ties together betrayals, secrets, and long-running lies, giving Maxine her most meaningful moment yet.
Robert chooses family, Linda discovers her true origin, Evelyn loses everyone, and Jed finally pays for his crimes. The finale is busy, bold, and emotionally sharp. Not perfect, but wildly entertaining. Verdict: 4.2/5 for ambition, performances, and setting up an even bigger Season 3.

Is Palm Royale Season 3 happening?
Not officially renewed yet, but the finale leaves too many story threads open to ignore. A continuation feels very likely.
Is the ending happy or sad?
Bittersweet. Justice is served, but friendships are broken and nothing returns to normal.
What are the biggest plot twists?
Linda’s parentage, Jed being Mirabelle’s real killer, and Maxine pulling the trigger.
Does Maxine finally belong at Palm Royale?
Socially, maybe. Emotionally, she’s already moved beyond it.
Palm Royale Season 2 proves the show isn’t just about glamour and gossip; it’s about survival in systems built to exclude. With its bold finale and unresolved tensions, the series feels perfectly positioned for a sharper, darker, and even more addictive Season 3.
What did you think of Maxine’s final choice, and who do you think will control Palm Royale next? Let’s talk.
