Ashin, the ever-energetic frontman of Taiwanese rock band Mayday, is once again making headlines — but this time, not for his vocals or stage presence. During the Chengdu stop of the F✦FOREVER Stellar City concert tour on January 11, the 50-year-old singer experienced another unexpected onstage mishap that left fans holding their breath.
The incident happened while the group was performing their high-octane anthem Leave The Earth’s Surface. As Ashin danced and jumped along with the beat, his foot accidentally got caught in Vanness Wu’s long jacket.
Losing his balance, Ashin fell backwards onto the stage, prompting audible gasps from the crowd. Vanness was momentarily tugged along but managed to steady himself before quickly helping Ashin back up.
Thankfully, both performers recovered smoothly and continued the show without interruption, maintaining their professionalism as if nothing had gone wrong.
This was not the first time Ashin has taken a tumble on stage. Less than a month earlier, he also fell during the F4 Shanghai reunion concert, adding to fans’ worries as the incidents happened within a short span of time.

Observant fans later noted that Ashin showed no visible injuries and appeared composed for the rest of the performance, easing immediate worries.
Still, the slip added to growing concerns among fans, as it was not the first accident during the tour.
At an earlier Shanghai concert, Ashin reportedly misstepped near the edge of the stage, resulting in a hand injury that left him bleeding.
Elsewhere on the tour, Vic Chou also revealed he had been battling gastroenteritis and had to complete much of the concert seated, further highlighting the physical toll of the demanding schedule.
Online reactions quickly poured in following the Chengdu incident. Many fans expressed relief that Ashin was unharmed, praising both him and Vanness for their quick recovery.
Others, however, voiced growing anxiety, urging the singer to tone down the high-intensity movements and prioritise safety over spectacle.

Some netizens pointed out that while the passion is admirable, longevity matters more — especially during a long-running tour.
Vic later shared his hopes that everyone on stage would remain safe and finish the tour without further injuries, a sentiment echoed widely across fan communities.
Clips of the fall continue to circulate, discussions have shifted from shock to care, with supporters clearly wanting to see their idols healthy above all else.
What do you think — should artists dial back risky stage moves, or is that raw energy part of the magic of live concerts?
