For Malaysian ARMYs, this isn’t just another concert announcement. It’s a long-awaited reunion that’s been more than a decade in the making. After years of hoping, guessing, and refreshing timelines at ungodly hours, BTS have officially confirmed that Kuala Lumpur is back on their world tour map — and they’re not coming for just one night.
The global K-pop icons revealed their massive 2026–2027 world tour at midnight KST on 14 January 2026, instantly sending fans worldwide into celebration mode. Among the long list of international stops, Malaysia stood out with two confirmed concert dates, marking BTS’s first local performance since 2015.
BTS will perform in Kuala Lumpur on 12 and 13 December 2026, giving fans a full weekend to celebrate their return. The concerts will be organised by Live Nation Malaysia, with venue details still under wraps.
While nothing is confirmed yet, many fans are already speculating that the shows could take place at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, given BTS’s current scale and demand.
This return is especially meaningful. BTS last performed in Malaysia in June 2015 during their early touring days, long before stadium sell-outs became the norm. Since then, the group’s popularity has reached a completely different level, making this comeback feel both nostalgic and historic.

The Kuala Lumpur shows are part of BTS’s extensive world tour following their full-group reunion after completing mandatory military service.
Before hitting the road, the group is set to release a new comeback single on 20 March, making this tour the first time fans will see all seven members performing together again in years.
The tour will begin in South Korea with opening shows in Goyang, followed by Japan, North America, Europe, and Latin America. The Asia-Pacific leg later in 2026 includes stops in Kaohsiung and Bangkok before BTS arrive in Kuala Lumpur. After Malaysia, the group will head to Singapore for four nights, then Jakarta, before continuing into 2027 with Australia, Hong Kong, and Manila.
Another major talking point is the stage design. BTS are expected to use a 360-degree, in-the-round stage setup, placing the stage at the centre of the venue.
This format allows fans from all sides to feel closer to the group, increases audience capacity, and delivers a more immersive concert experience — something that’s becoming a signature for top-tier global tours.
As of now, ticket prices and seating details have not been announced. Based on recent stadium tours in the region, fans estimate prices could start around RM400, though demand may push premium sections higher.
Ticketing information and the official venue are expected to be shared by Live Nation Malaysia in the coming months.
Online reactions have been mixed but intense. Many Malaysian fans described the announcement as “worth the wait,” especially after missing out on regional tours in recent years.
Some netizens are already worried about ticket competition, pricing, and queue systems, while others are debating whether two nights will be enough given the scale of local demand. There’s also ongoing discussion about transport, accommodation, and whether a stadium venue can handle the crowd smoothly.
For now, one thing is clear: December 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest moments in Malaysia’s concert calendar. If you’ve been waiting years to see BTS live on home ground, this is your moment. What are your thoughts on the KL dates, stage setup, and possible venue? Are two nights enough, or should there be more?
