On 9 December, the actor unexpectedly shot up the trending list after well-known paparazzo Liu Dachui brought him up during a casual livestream — which, of course, instantly turned into a full-on rumour pit.
During the stream, Liu chatted with a woman who claimed she lived in the same apartment complex as Johnny.
The two discussed photos that allegedly show the actor inviting a mysterious woman into his Shanghai residence — not just once, but reportedly twice, both this October and the previous year.
According to the neighbour, Johnny Huang would “spend time with this girl before joining his filming crew and again after wrapping up shoots.”

The whispers don’t end there.
When Johnny was working on his upcoming drama Our Dazzling Days, the same woman was reportedly spotted inside his car.
After filming wrapped, he was said to have gone out for a casual evening walk with his childhood friend — and the same woman again tagged along.
Even more fuel was added when talk emerged that Johnny Huang supposedly took her along for a short break while filming an overseas variety show.
And let’s not forget February’s minor commotion: Johnny Huang was photographed at a gym in the Phu Quoc Islands with a woman sitting nearby.

So far, no one’s managed to confirm whether the woman from the gym, the woman from the October sightings, and the woman from the car are actually the same person — but online detectives are already stitching together outfit “matches” and hairstyle comparisons like it’s a group project.

Back in the local Chinese media sphere, paparazzi also released video footage showing Johnny Huang returning home in casual clothes, followed by a staff member, with a slim woman in a black suit walking a few steps ahead.

She appeared to keep a polite distance, though paparazzi insisted this was the same woman rumoured to be his companion on multiple occasions.
