Actress Ryo Sato has officially announced her marriage to fellow actor Takuro Ohno, sharing the news through a formal handwritten letter posted on New Year’s Eve 2025. The announcement blended personal joy with warm seasonal greetings, turning the final day of the year into a memorable milestone for fans of both stars.

Both actors took to their social media platforms on 31 December to publish their statements, each written by hand.

Rather than opting for a casual caption, the couple chose a traditional and respectful approach, reflecting gratitude, reflection, and a sense of quiet celebration as the year came to a close.

In his message, Takuro Ohno described the marriage as a “new turning point in life,” while expressing heartfelt thanks to fans, colleagues, and industry figures who have supported his 15-year acting journey.

He acknowledged that his career growth would not have been possible without that continued encouragement and promised to approach future work with even greater sincerity and focus.

Ryo Sato’s statement echoed a similar tone.

Written in elegant calligraphy, she thanked supporters not only for their backing of her acting career but also for embracing her recent work in production and stage creation.

She shared that entering a new phase of life has strengthened her resolve to stay committed to storytelling, creative exploration, and meaningful performances.

The announcement arrived with year-end greetings, wishing everyone a healthy and fulfilling new year, making the message feel less like a celebrity update and more like a thoughtful letter shared between familiar faces.

Takuro Ohno, now 37, entered the entertainment industry after being selected as Mister Rikkyo during his university days.

He made his acting debut in 2010 and steadily built his profile through films, prime-time dramas, educational television, NHK historical series, and morning dramas.

His career has been marked by versatility, moving comfortably between mainstream and public broadcasting projects.

Ryo Sato, 33, graduated from Nihon University’s College of Art and has established herself not only as a recognised actress but also as a producer. Alongside appearances in popular television dramas, she founded her own production company in 2023 and has actively worked behind the scenes on stage productions, signalling a long-term commitment to creative leadership within the industry.

Both actors emphasising renewed focus and growth, audiences can expect more grounded, mature performances moving forward.

Ohno’s comments suggest a continued dedication to character-driven roles, while Sato’s dual focus on acting and producing hints at projects with stronger creative identity and thoughtful themes. Rather than slowing down, this new chapter appears to be pushing both towards deeper artistic choices.

As congratulatory messages continue to pour in, fans are already curious about how marriage might subtly influence their future roles, creative direction, and on-screen presence.

What do you think this new life chapter will bring to their upcoming dramas? Are you hoping to see them share the screen one day, or would you rather watch how their individual careers evolve from here?
