Japanese model, actress and TV personality Fujita Nicole has officially shared that she’s expecting her first child with her husband, actor Yu Inaba, marking a new milestone for the pair who tied the knot last year. The 27-year-old posted a handwritten announcement on Instagram on 11 December, signed by both herself and Yu Inaba, confirming the happy update and offering a gentle message to fans.

In the letter, written in her usual warm but composed tone, Fujita Nicole aid she was “grateful to be blessed with new life” and is currently spending her days hoping for a smooth and healthy delivery. 

The baby is expected to arrive in spring, aligning perfectly with the couple’s earlier wish to start a family soon after marriage.

The statement also touched on her professional life, with Fujita Nicole assuring fans that she plans to continue working steadily while preparing for motherhood.

“I will continue to approach each job sincerely,” she wrote, adding that she would appreciate everyone’s support as she steps into this new chapter.

Nicole Fujita’s announcement instantly caught attention across Japanese media, not just because of her popularity but also because this pregnancy marks a personal goal she’s mentioned several times before. 

After marrying Yu Inaba in August 2023 — a date celebrated as a fortunate “super auspicious day” — she openly said she hoped to become a mother by 27, inspired partly by her own mother’s life path. 

With this pregnancy, she’s achieved exactly that.

Fujita Nicole first rose to fame after winning the 13th Nicola Model Audition in 2009. She became one of the standout faces of Popteen before moving on to variety shows and later joining ViVi as an exclusive model. 

Her strong presence in fashion, especially among younger audiences, has kept her firmly in the spotlight for over a decade.

Her husband, Yu Inaba, 32, is best known for his role as Shijima Go / Kamen Rider Mach in Kamen Rider Drive. 

After winning the Grand Prix at the 22nd Junon Superboy Contest in 2009, he built a consistent acting career across drama and film, earning a loyal fanbase of his own.

The couple’s journey from friends to partners, then three years of dating before marriage, has always been marked by steady support for each other’s careers. 

Their joint message this week continues that tone — simple, sincere, and very “them”.
