BMSG has officially released the results of its internal investigation into reports surrounding a late-night visit involving an underage girl at the home of its CEO, SKY-HI. Following a review conducted with guidance from multiple legal and compliance experts, the company confirmed that no illegal activity was found.
The investigation examined whether any laws or regulations had been breached, including the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Youth Healthy Development Ordinance, which had been referenced in earlier media coverage.
According to BMSG, interviews with relevant parties and a detailed review of disclosed information led to the conclusion that no violations occurred.

Despite this outcome, both BMSG and SKY-HI acknowledged the public concern caused by the incident and issued an apology for the confusion and unease it created.
The company stressed that restoring trust is now its top priority and announced a set of four new measures aimed at strengthening governance across the organisation.
These include a full review of the management structure, the introduction of an objective external auditing system for all executives and employees, renewed emphasis on compliance awareness, and a restructuring of internal controls. BMSG also confirmed that a new department dedicated to governance and compliance will be established, with further details on management restructuring expected in the coming months.

Regarding SKY-HI’s activities as an artist and public figure, BMSG stated that he will temporarily step back from high-profile appearances to focus on preventing any recurrence of similar situations.
The company explained that this decision was made to avoid unnecessary concerns that could affect other artists under its banner.
As a result, SKY-HI will not appear at the live music event COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26 on December 27, nor on the year-end music awards programme airing on December 29. However, content recorded prior to the announcement will still be released as scheduled, with limited exceptions.
Some fans have also expressed disappointment with how the situation was handled, saying the issue may not have been addressed as seriously if it had not gained widespread attention online. Several comments pointed out that without the incident going viral, the public might never have known about it, raising questions about transparency and accountability rather than legality.

BMSG also confirmed that its other artists will continue their planned activities, following discussions with relevant stakeholders, to ensure existing commitments are fulfilled without disruption.
In a personal statement, SKY-HI expressed deep regret over the situation, admitting that his judgement regarding timing and communication was, in hindsight, socially unreasonable.
While firmly denying any breach of laws or ordinances, he acknowledged that his lack of awareness contributed to the controversy and pledged to focus on improving governance and reassessing his own conduct going forward.
Earlier last week, reports had surfaced suggesting that SKY-HI had invited an underage idol to his home late at night.
BMSG previously clarified that consent had been obtained from the individual’s guardian, but still described the timing and circumstances as careless and inconsistent with societal expectations.

The company reiterated that it takes the matter seriously and is committed to enforcing stricter compliance standards to ensure similar incidents do not occur again. BMSG concluded its statement by reaffirming its determination to regain public trust through transparency and structural reform.
Later that day, SKY-HI also appeared on a radio programme, where he once again apologised for the misunderstanding and the concern caused.
