Taiwanese model-actress Andrea Chen Kuan-yi has finally spoken out after being dragged into a storm of rumours, firmly denying claims that she was involved as a third party in someone else’s marriage.

The 38-year-old, who has largely kept a low profile over the years, said the narrative pushed by some media outlets was “the exact opposite of the truth” and accused reporters of exaggerating and twisting events from her personal life.

In a series of public statements, Andrea Chen revealed that several well-known male celebrities had expressed interest in her years ago, but stressed that she never entertained any of their advances.

Among the names she mentioned were Joseph Chang and Chen Bolin, saying both had pursued her in the past but “did not succeed”.

She later added more names to the list, including Calvin Chen, Mike He, Dylan Kuo and director Chu Yu-ning, reiterating that all of these interactions happened long before the men were married.

Andrea emphasised that she respects them as individuals and wishes them nothing but happiness in their current lives.

“These were all outstanding people,” she said, adding that past events should not be reshaped into damaging stories years later.

She questioned why she was being portrayed in a negative light, saying that reporters could have simply verified the facts directly instead of running speculative headlines.

Andrea Chen also addressed claims that she was deliberately seeking attention, explaining that she had previously stayed quiet out of modesty and to protect others’ reputations. However, she said remaining silent was no longer an option now that she was being labelled unfairly.

She further criticised what she described as intrusive reporting tactics, warning the media to stop following her, taking photos without consent, or publishing unverified claims.

According to Andrea Chen, such actions crossed legal boundaries, and she made it clear she was prepared to let the law handle the matter.

In a follow-up post, Andrea Chen shared that authorities had already stepped in, stating that she was recognised as the victim in the situation, while other parties were found to have acted improperly.

She issued a firm message that she would no longer tolerate harassment or false accusations.

The controversy began in October after Andrea Chen shared photos from a private dinner gathering organised by businessman Guo Yongfu.

One attendee, who was married, was mistakenly assumed by the public to be romantically linked to her.

Although he later asked for the photos to be taken down, Andrea Chen refused, which led to widespread speculation and damaging labels online.
