AKB48 Team SH is officially entering a new phase, and it’s a big one. The group has confirmed a mass graduation involving 27 members, including those who are currently on hiatus. 

The announcement comes right after the group wrapped up its 7th anniversary celebrations, marking a clear turning point for the Shanghai-based sister group.

Alongside the graduation news, AKB48 Team SH also revealed that three selected members will represent the group as Thai-Chinese Ambassadors

These members are set to perform together with BNK48 and CGM48 on 24 January in Thailand, followed by a Handshake Event scheduled for March, giving fans a rare chance to meet them up close.

1st Generation:
Wu Anqi, Shi Keyan, Mao Weijia, Wei Xin, Song Xinran, Dong Fangchi, Wan Fangzhou, Shen Ying, Yuan Ruixi

2nd Generation:
Xiong Fangni, Shi Aibei, Zhang Qiaoyu, Jian Qiangwei, Zou Ruonan, Zeng Sichun, Tan Junxi, Zhang Yinglu, Zhang Qianfei, Li Yumiao

3rd Generation:
Xie Wenjie, Wang Xuanya, Ma Xiaoyu

4th Generation:
Zeng Yi, Wu Fan

5th Generation:
Du Xinyi, Zhang Yaqian, Wang Yuting

7th Generation:

It has also been reported that 1st Generation members who announced graduation will receive a dedicated Graduation Performance, offering fans a proper farewell on stage.

While many are saying goodbye, the group is also looking firmly ahead. AKB48 Team SH officially opened 8th and 9th Generation auditions, starting 1 January.

Wong Mann-ling from AKB48 Team TP has been announced as a Kennin Member for AKB48 Team SH. The decision reportedly ties in with her studies in Beijing, making the dual role a practical and strategic choice for both sides.

Major Management Change Confirmed

Following the completion of the 7th anniversary, AKB48 Team SH also confirmed a change in operational management.

  • New Management: Shanghai Ensi (NSE) Art Culture Media Co., Ltd.

All existing member contracts have now been fully transferred to the new management, ensuring continuity for current members. 

According to the official statement, this shift is meant to inject fresh momentum and guide the group into a new development stage together with fans.

Ticket Benefits and Ongoing Projects Explained

The management also clarified the status of ticket benefits and anniversary projects:

  • Old and new tickets, including handshake, photo, polaroid, and autograph coupons, remain valid across events.

  • Most tickets are usable until June 2026, with select anniversary cards valid up to January or June 2027, depending on type.

AKB48 Team SH Restructures After Mass Graduation and Management Change

For the 6th Anniversary projects, several items have already been completed, including personal photo albums, 2D units, and the song OH MY PUMPKIN!

Ongoing projects such as solo content, pop and traditional units, and the single TWO FACE are targeted for release between March and April 2026.
