| Zhang Yuan Clarifies Dating Rumours with Wang Feifei on Call Me by Fire 2025 |
Chinese singer Zhang Yuan recently addressed his love life head-on during a new episode of the reality show Call Me by Fire 2025.
On 31 October, the veteran idol spoke frankly about the dating rumours that have been floating around online, especially those linking him to fellow performer Wang Feifei.
When asked about the speculation, Zhang Yuan smiled and calmly shut it down:
“Whether you want to ship us or not, that’s up to you,” he joked. “It’s just part of the stage concept.”
He made it clear that there’s no romance behind the scenes, praising Wang Feifei for her professionalism and strong work ethic. The chemistry people saw, he said, was purely for performance purposes.
During the same segment, fellow cast member Li Chengxuan (Nathan Lee) playfully teased the pair, prompting Zhang Yuan to hide his face and laugh before shouting, “Shut up, go away!” — a moment that quickly became one of the show’s highlights among viewers.
As for his relationship status, Zhang Yuan said he currently has no plans to start a romantic relationship and believes love should be “a low-key thing between two people.”
Fans also recalled earlier rumours involving actress Liu Meihan, after she posted a cryptic message on Chinese Valentine’s Day hinting at an apparent breakup. Netizens noticed that both Liu Meihan and Zhang Yuan later unfollowed each other on social media, fuelling further speculation. However, neither Zhang Yuan nor his studio has issued an official response about that situation.
In short, Zhang Yuan’s stance seems clear: he’s focusing on his career and keeping his private life out of the spotlight — even if playful banter keeps following him onstage.
