Chinese actress Xing Fei found herself in the spotlight this week after a local entertainment outlet published footage allegedly showing her breaching road regulations on 24 November 2025.
The clip, taken as she was heading home after finishing work, appeared to show her making a turnaround by crossing a double line on a three-lane road — a move that’s not permitted under traffic rules.
The moment was recorded right outside her home, where cameras caught her car switching direction in an area clearly marked as off-limits for such manoeuvres.
The report quickly started circulating, pushing Xing Fei’s name into trending discussions as netizens debated whether the act was intentional or simply a careless slip.

Rather than staying silent, Xing Fei addressed the matter on the same night.
Through her personal social media account, she issued a straightforward apology, acknowledging the misstep without trying to justify it.
“There’s no excuse. I’m sorry. Breaking traffic rules was my mistake,” she wrote.
“I’ll be more disciplined in future and won’t repeat something like this again.”
Her immediate response drew mixed reactions online.

Many praised her for owning up to the matter quickly and responsibly, noting that public figures admitting fault without deflection is refreshing.
Others pointed out that those constantly in the public eye carry added responsibility to set a good example, especially when it comes to road safety.
For those newer to her work, Xing Fei — born on 1 October 1994 in Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia — graduated from the Shanghai Theatre Academy.
She first gained wider recognition through the film Trouble Makers in the East Sea, and later secured a nomination for Best Actress in a Contemporary Chinese Drama at the 26th Huading Awards for her performance in Put Your Head on My Shoulder in 2019. That same year, she further boosted her popularity by joining the acting programme Everybody Stand By.
With her apology already making rounds across social media, many fans hope this incident will simply serve as a reminder — even for well-known stars — that road rules don’t bend for anyone.
