Chinese actor and singer Wang Yibo is rumoured to be parting ways with his long-time agency Yuehua Entertainment, as new business moves hint he might be gearing up for a fully independent career.
According to data from Tianyancha App, Wang Yibo is currently linked to four companies — three of which are still actively operating.
These include Beijing Boyuan Cultural Technology Co., Ltd., Tianjin Horizon Network Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Yibo Cultural Media Studio, all involved in the tech and media sectors.
Interestingly, in Tianjin Horizon Network Technology, where Wang Yibo holds a 70% stake, several new trademarks have been registered under names like “Wang Yibo”, “Yebo”, and “WANGYIBO”.
These cover international classifications ranging from transport equipment to lighting, cooling devices, and even musical instruments — some of which have already been officially approved and registered.
Fans and industry watchers see this as a strong sign that Wang Yibo is solidifying his personal brand beyond the boundaries of Yuehua Entertainment.
Whether he chooses to stay or move on, it’s clear he’s laying the groundwork for a broader, more self-directed path in both entertainment and business.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Chinese media recently reported that Wang Yibo’s contract with Yuehua is set to expire in October 2026, and that he has no plans to renew.
The agency has stayed unusually quiet — a stark contrast to its previous quick denials of similar rumours, which only intensified public curiosity.
Wang Yibo has long been seen as Yuehua’s biggest asset, reportedly contributing over half of the company’s total revenue — a dynamic insiders describe as the “one man carrying the plane” model.
Critics have accused Yuehua of over-leveraging his fame by inserting company rookies into his projects and restricting his commercial freedom.
Rumours of past management issues also resurfaced — such as stage rearrangements, poor communication of schedules, and incidents during live events that fans found questionable.
Despite this, Wang Yibo has kept things professional, choosing quiet resistance over public confrontation.
Fans noticed subtle signs — like him deleting anniversary posts with Yuehua and removing agency tags from newer projects.
Meanwhile, his independent ventures and new company structures show how much control he’s taken over his career direction.
Most of his fanbase seems to fully support the move, believing it’ll allow him to focus purely on his artistry and business ambitions — free from corporate politics.
After almost a decade under Yuehua, this potential split could mark the start of a major new era for Wang Yibo — one where he’s calling all the shots himself.
