In a detailed statement released on Saturday (Nov 2), Ao Ruipeng Studio confirmed that the incident was reported immediately to local traffic authorities.
“We reported it to the traffic police as soon as it occurred. We’ll fully cooperate with any investigations and follow all police instructions,” the studio said.
The statement also shed light on how this wasn’t an isolated event — similar stalking incidents had taken place multiple times in the past, including in residential areas, airport VIP zones, and even backstage at events.
“Some individuals claim their actions come from love, but these behaviours have repeatedly endangered Ao Ruipeng and our staff,” they added.
Shockingly, the studio revealed that one of their staff members had previously been dragged several metres while trying to stop a vehicle during another fan chase.
Despite that, the team had chosen not to go public at the time, hoping to avoid unnecessary escalation.
