| Thai Actor Tongtong Kitsakorn Declares He’s Single, Focused on Work, and Ready for His First Villain Role |
Thai actor Tongtong Kitsakorn Kanokthorn has finally spoken up after weeks of speculation surrounding his breakup with long-time partner Salee Somvimala Na Ubol, known to many as Salee The Star. The pair had been surrounded by rumours and online chatter, especially after a photo of Tongtong on a boat with a so-called “mystery woman” made its way around the internet.
During his appearance at the One Phenomenon 2025 event at EmSphere, Tongtong addressed every rumour head-on, making it clear that the real reason behind the separation was much simpler than what many assumed.
“We Just Couldn’t Walk the Same Path Anymore”
Tongtong explained that the breakup happened after careful discussion between him and Salee.
There were no dramatic incidents or misunderstandings—just two people realising their life directions were no longer aligned.
He emphasised that the relationship ended peacefully and respectfully.
Both of them have grown in their own ways, and over time, the gap in their goals became too wide to bridge.
“There were certain points where we both knew we couldn’t continue together,” he said, adding that the decision had been made long before the rumours surfaced.
The Boat Photo Explained
One of the biggest talking points online was a photo showing Tongtong aboard a boat with a woman some netizens assumed to be a new love interest.
Tongtong dismissed the rumour firmly.

According to him, the woman was a groupmate and simply a friend, and the day out wasn’t a private date but a casual outing with several people on board.
“It was a party with friends. There were many of us, not just two,” he said, making it clear that the breakup and the photo were unrelated.
Officially Single and Pouring His Energy Into Work
Tongtong admitted he is now “properly single” and not in any rush to start a new relationship. His focus at the moment is entirely on his acting career, especially with several demanding roles lined up.
He shared that he’s been working intensely, especially as he prepares for his first-ever antagonist role—a major shift from the romantic lead characters fans are used to seeing him play.
“This role is completely different from anything I’ve done,” he said. “It’s intense, it’s fierce, it takes a lot of energy, and that challenge is exactly what I wanted.”
He even revealed that he’d previously told his channel he was eager to try playing a villain at least once, and now that chance has finally arrived.
Tongtong also mentioned his work on Glinmalee, a period drama he spent nearly a year filming.
With challenging scenes, including horse riding and detailed character exploration, he considers it one of his most dedicated projects to date.
Fans are currently waiting for updates on when it will air.
While he doesn’t rule out future relationships, Tongtong is letting life unfold naturally rather than actively seeking romance. For now, he’s channelling all his energy into his craft.
“It’s not about opening or closing my heart,” he said. “I’m living each day and seeing what comes my way. For now, work comes first.”
