Thai actor Ter Chantavit recently opened up about his thoughts on family life and the idea of becoming a father — and let’s just say, his answer had everyone smiling.
In a new interview, Ter spoke honestly about his current focus, explaining that he’s still busy managing business matters and hasn’t had the chance to discuss family plans in depth yet.
Comparing it to his experience producing successful TV series, he said building a family is like a domino effect — once one thing runs smoothly, the next step becomes easier.
With a cheeky grin, he joked, “I want 26 children.”
But quickly followed it up in a more serious tone, adding, “Honestly, I just hope for one — whether it’s a boy or a girl.”
Balancing Act with Mai Davika
Ter painted a sweet picture of how he imagines parenting with his partner, Mai Davika Hoorne.
“I’ll probably be the soft one who spoils the child,” he laughed.
“Mai, on the other hand, will be the firm parent — that’ll balance us out nicely.”
He added with a chuckle, “If the child gets scolded by their mum, they’ll probably come running to me for a hug. But if I spoil them too much, Mai will definitely tell me off!”
Honest Reflections on Raising Kids Today
On a more thoughtful note, Ter shared his worries about raising a child in today’s world, calling it a “challenging time” for parents. Still, he remains optimistic.
“Mai and I are good people, and our families are too. If a child grows up surrounded by kindness, it’s hard for bad influences to take root,” he said.
“At the end of the day, I just want my child to be a good person — that’s enough for me.”
