| Sisley Choi Shuts Down ‘Luxury Life’ Rumours: “If I Were That Rich, I’d Be Building Schools!” |
Hong Kong actress Sisley Choi (蔡思貝) has brushed off fresh rumours suggesting she’s secretly living a lavish life bankrolled by a powerful man.
The TVB star, known for her down-to-earth image, was all smiles when she attended the Uni-China Corporate Charity Run at Science Park on 9 November, despite the buzzing gossip surrounding her.
When reporters cheekily asked if she’d “upgraded” her lifestyle with a spacious new home and private chauffeur despite working less in recent years, Sisley Choi burst out laughing.
“Everyone knows where I live! If I were truly wealthy, I’d be helping those in need and building schools around the world,” she joked.
She went on to clarify that while she does occasionally hire her own photographers to capture nice photos for public events, the claims about her “moving into a luxury house” were simply not true.
“Madam? I’m the One Calling Other People That!”
Addressing even wilder stories — that she’s been taken to exclusive dinner parties by powerful figures and even addressed as “madam” — Sisley Choi said with a helpless laugh:
“I don’t even know about these things. Usually, I’m the one calling others ‘madam’!”
Rather than feeling angry, the 33-year-old actress shared that she’s learned to stay calm and let the noise pass.
“These rumours don’t affect me. I just hope people will pay attention to my work instead,” she added.
Still Focused on Work — and Keeping Love on Hold
Sisley also revealed she’s currently single, though she admits there are people showing interest.
“Yes, there are pursuers, but honestly… not my type,” she laughed.
“I have my own standards. I want to find someone whose soul matches mine — that’s not an easy requirement. So I’m not in a rush.”
When asked about ongoing fan speculation linking her to fellow actor Hubert Wu (胡鴻鈞), she was quick to clarify:
“We’ve always been good friends. I’m still looking for my true soulmate.”
On Her Upcoming Projects
As for her career, Sisley Choi will soon head to the US for a stage performance tour alongside actors Owen Cheung (羅子溢) and Mark Ma (羅啟豪).
When asked about rumours that she’s been dropped from the cast of Triumph in the Skies 2 due to her contract nearing its end with TVB, she smiled mysteriously:
“Rumours are just rumours! Whether my contract is long or short, who knows? As for the series, let’s wait until it airs — maybe I’ll appear in a different way.”
Sisley Choi also briefly touched on earlier reports linking her to Stephen Chow’s (周星馳) upcoming film Women’s Soccer.
“I have indeed taken on a new role, but I can’t share details because of a confidentiality agreement. Every actor dreams of working with Stephen Chow — I grew up watching his films!” she said, adding that she even filmed a self-recommendation video for the Hong Kong comedy legend in the past.
TL;DR – Sisley Keeps It Real
While social media continues to buzz about her supposed “luxury lifestyle”, Sisley Choi remains as grounded as ever — charmingly sarcastic, hard-working, and unbothered by gossip.
Her message to fans and critics alike?
“Focus on my work, not my wallet.”
