Show Lo Drops Bombshell About His Manager Her Kids And His Unusual Family Plan

Show Lo has been in the industry for decades, but even now he’s surprising fans with how candid he can be. In a recent interview, the Taiwanese entertainer revealed that he used to be so sheltered by his management that he barely handled any daily tasks himself.

He joked that he’s “almost escaped the circle of being clueless about real life”, admitting that he relied heavily on his team to organise even the simplest things.

“I didn’t care about anything back then. The company handled everything, even booking my medical appointments,” he said, adding that he had no real sense of how much work went on behind the scenes.

One moment that shocked his agency came when he recently decided to visit the dentist on his own.

For someone who had always been driven around or guided through every appointment, his independent trip made the whole team raise their eyebrows.

“My manager has looked after me for more than twenty years. Everyone in the company helped with everything,” he shared.

He explained that his team arranged his treatments, scheduled appointments, and even sorted out the paperwork and payments.

According to Show Lo, he’s not alone in this. “Honestly, a lot of people in the entertainment world are the same. They don’t deal with bills or anything like that; the company runs all of it,” he said with a laugh.

Show Lo Talks Dependence on His Team

Opening Up About His Mental State and His Mother

The interview quickly shifted from light-hearted confessions about his dependence on his team to a much more reflective side of Show Lo.

He revealed that he had been living with what doctors described to him as “smiling depression” — a term often used in East Asia for those who appear cheerful on the outside while privately going through a difficult time.

The discovery came unexpectedly while he was encouraging his mother, who is facing a memory-related condition, to seek treatment.

Through supporting her, he realised he needed help as well. He admitted that the past few years forced him to confront emotions he had ignored for far too long.

In one of the more sobering admissions, Show Lo shared that he wrote his will two years ago.

He said the decision came from wanting to make sure his family would be secure “no matter what happens”, adding that uncertainty about his future pushed him to settle important matters early.

His Manager, Her Children, and the Unconventional Family He Built

Perhaps the most surprising part of the interview was his openness about his long-time manager, Kini Hsu (often known as Xiao Shuang).

The two have worked together for more than twenty years and have been the subject of quiet speculation for just as long, though both consistently avoid confirming anything beyond a close professional bond.

Xiao Shuang has two children, and while she has never publicly identified the father, she previously mentioned having them through overseas methods recommended by a doctor.

Show Lo revealed that he has become a father figure to the children over time.

He considers himself their godfather and often refers to them as part of his own family.

At one stage, he even contemplated marrying his manager purely to give the children firmer legal protection — not out of romance, but out of responsibility and affection.

He confessed that he once imagined having two children of his own by this age.

Life, however, took him down a different path, and he has instead created what he calls his “own version of a family”.

Although his public image took a hit years ago, Show Lo has gradually rebuilt his career and found a quieter, more grounded approach to life.

The interview shows a man who has grown more reflective, more self-aware, and surprisingly comfortable talking about his private struggles.

From learning how to handle basic life tasks to forming a family that doesn’t fit the usual mould, Show Lo appears to be entering a new chapter — one shaped by stability, humility, and a willingness to grow.

If anything, his honesty has reminded fans that behind the spotlight, he’s still learning just like everyone else.
