| Prince Chiu’s Upcoming Shanghai Show Axed Amid Affair Controversy |
Taiwanese singer-actor Prince Chiu (Qiu Shengyi aka Wang Zi) has found himself in hot water after being accused of having an affair with Meigo, the wife of fellow entertainer Zack Fanchiang (Fan Jiang Yanfeng).
The controversy has quickly snowballed, forcing multiple events and promotions to be called off.
The biggest blow came when organiser Magic Cube Entertainment officially announced the cancellation of Chiu’s “The Moment of Love” concert, which was scheduled for 16 November 2025 at the Bank of Communications Qianyou 31 Performing Arts Center in Shanghai.
The label also confirmed refunds will be issued via the original ticketing channels and apologised to fans for the inconvenience.
Earlier, a fan-meeting event where Chiu was supposed to appear as a one-day store manager on 1 November was also quietly scrapped. Both cancellations came just days after the scandal broke.
The Scandal Unfolds
Things escalated fast on 29 October, when Zack Fan-chiang took to social media to share a video accusing Prince Chiu of being the third party in his marriage.
He said he had been “betrayed in the most painful way” and claimed to hold “solid evidence” of the alleged affair.
While Meigo initially denied the accusation, reports suggest she continued to keep in contact with Chiu and was even spotted visiting him with her child — fuelling even more speculation.
Public Fallout and Legal Statement
Following the public uproar, Fan-chiang released an official statement through his lawyer, stressing three key points:
-
He urged the public to protect his daughter’s privacy, saying the online noise could negatively affect her wellbeing.
 -
He emphasised that, regardless of the emotional damage, his love for his daughter remains unchanged.
 -
He thanked supporters and stated that while justice may come late, “it will eventually arrive.”

Industry Reaction
The situation has drawn comparisons to previous high-profile scandals in Chinese entertainment — most notably Li Xiaolu’s affair case, which led to her being blacklisted from mainstream media for years.
For now, Chiu’s image has taken a heavy hit. Neither his management team nor Magic Cube Entertainment has offered any fresh comment beyond their concert-related notice, but fans are clearly divided — some calling for accountability, while others express heartbreak over the turn of events.
With this latest fallout, it’s clear that Prince Chiu’s once-promising comeback has hit a serious pause, and only time will tell whether he’ll be able to regain public trust.
